02.04.2012 - 22:51 | DMasterI dunno about Twins, but this [i]definitely[/i] has very strong elements of Please Teacher; the main difference thus far is just in the male lead's perspective and motivations, as well as mode of expression. I'll give this one a shot, but I'm not expecting it to outdo the Teacher series to me; it might do so for people who see this one first though.

a another Onegai series mixed with Anohana. I approve it. One other thing... girl with black hair glasses is his sister. Not his mother.

This really does have some similarities to 'Please teacher' including a glasses wearing red head alien girl.

Just wanted to chime in that the woman is the main character's sister rather than his mother (his parents are dead, like in most anime).
This anime is awesome. It's both heart-warming and fun.

The Onegai Sensei series is one of my favorite Anime one-shots. I haven't seen Onegai Twins, but I heard it's kind of meh.
This seems to be almost a carbon copy of Onegai Sensei, though, just with some different troupes. The only thing missing is the Dr. and the eternally horny, jealous, possessive wife.

Please Twins is awful. The only thing I got out of it was the occasional cameo made from the previous series. Please Teacher holds a speacal place in my heart, being one of my favorite love stories in anime while it's sequel series completely sandbagged the series. I hope this van match Please Teachers story.

02.05.2012 - 22:31 | DMasterTwins was more of a spin-off, if anything; it was a different story that just happened to utilize the same setting with a couple of characters showing up. That being said, I really didn't enjoy it as much as Sensei, especially on the second viewing, and I really don't get all the anime reviews I've seen that say Twins is [i]so[/i] much better than its predecessor. Sci Fi Ghetto? I don't know.

Looks sweet, and the style looks pretty nice so gonna check it out.
And filming something, of course! I just need the right actors, Bruce Campbell, Christopher Walken and Kevin Bacon and film them doing something... what, like you wouldn't pay to see it =P
Also, the girl in the different uniform, correct me if I'm wrong but thats the uniform from the two Onegai series isn't it? 0_o

P.S.: I don't know about everyone here, but is it just me or am I getting a "Super 8" vibeness circling in my head? Which it's a movie I haven't seen it but based on reviews (NChick's and Brad Jones' that is) and clips of the movie I watched last year, this anime does quite look familiar by comparison. I don't know nothing about Onegai Teacher because I never heard of it (I'm the type of person who doesn't watch too many anime so don't be too hard on me ^-^;).

Great review, MasakoX! It seems to be very similar to Please Teacher though, but I'll give the anime a shot when I have the chance. At the very least it ought to be an interesting spin on the Please Teacher idea.
And having seen Please Twins before Please Teacher, I must say I quite love Twins! It's a great anime, in my opinion, with it's own great formula. Definitely underrated, especially compared to Teacher. In my opinion, at least.

Turns out the friend was trolling, he never actually watch that series, but recommended it to me purely be cause he liked hentai fan art of the series. We never spoke about anime together ever again.

To me it sounds like a load of crap... to be a bit more specific.
