11.14.2010 - 01:00 | LordNiftyWhy is this put in the latest videos, but not on the main display? Quite strange.

11.14.2010 - 02:58 | LordNiftyCouldn't you just borrow the adapter from Johnny, and return it either after the expo, or when you manage to acquire an adapter of your own? Also, it would be nice of you to mention to the maids(or leave a note), stating how you clean the blue stains at home, making sure to leave a nice tip. Just saying.

11.14.2010 - 03:07 | vylesideAh you stayed in a Premier Inn!
It's kinda weird cos I recognise a lot of places you were at from when I went on a training course with work.
If you're ever in the UK again and need electronic stuff, I recommend Maplin. They sell all kinds of adapters and cables.

Jeeeeeese Sorry about the crummy first day there :S
And Hey! You found our national monument!
Our Ice Cream Trucks suck over here by the way (from what I know anyway), one near us just goes into the local super market and buys random ice lollies and sells those O_o
And again, sorry about London killing your adapter.
It's awesome to know you were in England though! :D

11.14.2010 - 04:53 | MenamebephilWe have NEVER heard of chocolate soft-serve ice cream. The very idea sounds frightfully decadent.
Although it might just be because we make god-awful ice cream in this country.

D: I had no idea you were at the Expo! Gah! I could have walked right by you and not even known *facepalm* well I hope you had a good time and enjoyed our lovely country despite all the faff~
I gotta say its really interesting seeing someone attend the Expo from a completely non-British point of view. It's something that my friends and I attend every year and its pretty much a military style operation to get everyone and their costumes there and back again. It's a 5am wake-up call followed by a 2 hour drive but it's always a lot of fun. But you came all the way from the States! It's kinda nice that someone would come all the way to our little Island nation for an event when you have things like Comicon and Otacon your side ^_^
Oh boy, your hunt for a adapter had me cringing. London isn't exactly the easiest place to navigate and I hear there was trouble with the tubes that weekend.
Soft serve chocolate ice cream sounds really nice O_O (strangely enough there is a ice cream van outside... in November... in the cold rain... why?)

You went on Twitter for adapters?
Did you try the hotel clerk? They usually get the questions more often, know exactly where to go, have these nifty things called paper maps they can draw the route on for you to take with you, as well as explain exactly how and where to go, and can easily write key things down.
And if you're at an international hotel there's even a chance they have a few adapters you can borrow for the duration of your stay.

11.14.2010 - 08:42 | UK_DudeI can totally understand her frustration, I hate trying to get around in London, the place is like a maze. It's even worse when you're driving as most of the roads are one way with no right turns, so you have to go all the way down this one way street until you can find a way to turn around, then go all the way back again and hope you don't miss your turn off..
As someone said earlier though, Maplins is the best place for electronics. PC World - no way! Currys - only if you want a flat screen TV. Tesco? You'd have to be lucky to find what you want there.

11.14.2010 - 13:15 | kyuuketsukiI disagree... I think she would have felt nice to be recognized by someone outside of her country of origin. She is an on-line personality who caters to an American crowd, to be recognized in other countries is pretty big imo.

That looked like a very hard first day; London is very difficult to navigate, whenever I pop into the city to do the tourist thing I get kinda lost as well.
Chocolate soft-serve ice-cream? That's sacrelige; vanilla soft-serve in a wafer cone with a flake (chocolate sauce optional), that's the way to go!

11.14.2010 - 11:07 | howniceActually, you might need to go to local bank to change your dollar to other currency, not in airport. They tend to try to rip you off as much as possible. (Bloody Thieves~!)
-
11.14.2010 - 11:14 | ShakanMaybe you should've tried asking people in the street instead of twittering for help. They do speak English in London and if you are patient you can find people who actually live there (not just tourists). I love the web but it's not the only source for information.
-
11.14.2010 - 11:27 | ChoreyYou never go to another country that has another electric system without buying an adapter in advance, this is common sense.
Alot of time can be saved going abroad with just a little preperation, why do Americans whine so much when they leave the states, dont leave if you cant handle the rigors of travel and new countries.

11.14.2010 - 13:13 | kyuuketsukiI think you need to pay attention more... Or learn to read... The adapter got melted when she plugged it into the outlet...
