The Tyco Drum music at the beginning was awesome. God I wish I could go to Japan....

It's spelled Taiko. Tyco's an RC toy company

Don't be silly. Tyco was an eccentric astronomer.

I find it Ironic that you go to Japan for something new and end up chasing Pigeons just like you could do in any park in America. Otherwise it was an interesting view of Tourists making fun out of anything.
Marz you don't look very tall but in the crowd scene you towered over them all.

Marzgurl and the search for the honking crow! =D epic!!

By the way, Im curious Marzgurl, how much Japanese can you speak?
  • MarzGurl

I took two years worth of Japanese here in the States, and lived in Japan for three months attending KCP International Language Institute, solely for language education. I speak basic to intermediate Japanese. I can hold basic conversations, but if it gets particularly intellectual, I admit, I can't hold up a conversation worth beans. At the end of the year, I'm planning on taking at least the base level, if not the next rank up, of the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) to get a certificate in just how fluent I really am. At that point, I'll be able to point you to how much I actually know with some kind of a certain figure.

Cliii-max JUMP!!! F**k yeah you gotta karaoke that song if you're there!!
With this in-depth video diary I still want to go to Japan but I will definitely hunt down that sakura ice cream and chocolate sparkling water XD
  • Wilwarin
Cherry blossom ice cream sounds pretty good, actually.

    "I wish I a rainbow and ride a kitten." That's adorable. :meow:

OMG, the Bandai building! I would go to Japan JUST to see that. I love the Kamen Rider and SD Gundam statues.

Chocolate sparkling water... Japan really *does* have everything. =D
  • Thumper17
I wonder if you could have picked up some info on the new Ranger series for Linkara?

Also, we NEED to get a truck load of Japanese shit for Brad or Lordkat to try out. I'm looking at those Ultraman/Cider drinks. Then at those wondrous ice-creams.

I've never really WANTED to go to Japan, and seeing this video. My opinion hasn't really changed :/. I wouldn't say no if I won a trip or was sent there for whatever reason. But I'm not going out of my way. Unless I can get tickets to a CHIKARA show :P. (Japanese Pro-Wrestling.)

you were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! Climax Jump is great.

Did they have Journey Through the Decade or WBX (W Boiled Xtreme) on there?

Oh, and it's Tensou Sentai Goseiger on the Bandai Doors.
  • SwordHero1
Man, Japan is crazy awesome. The weirder ice cream seems a bit of a disappointment if they just put stuff and mix it with Vanilla. Oh well.

    Yay, Kamen Rider stuff!

In any case, awesome vid Marzgurl.

Is it me, or does it start to sound a little like little chicks(actual baby chickens) when he's about to eat the chicken ice cream, and seems to stop right before he takes a bite? Heck of a coincidence.
  • MarzGurl

Haha, it's true, there were bird sound effects in the building.

You Americans ALWAYS pretend you're Canadain when you travel :pout: It's great when you come here and try it XD

I really wanna go now T_T

I also want to know what your analysis on snake tastes like?

Also those new Rangers look freaking Sweet! I wonder how america will ruin them this time?! :snicker: Just kidding, :kawaii:

Like I said last video, seems like you guys had a lot of fun doing this and that's always a good thing. =)

If I ever get to go to Japan, I'm definitely going to try and get to that ice cream shop or at least something similar. I really want to try that sakura ice cream now, along with the red bean paste ice cream.

    Weeaboo'girl remembers Japan... isn't that a oxymoron?

Go somewhere original, not some kawaii pocky munchers adventure.
  • MarzGurl
    avatar
Even if I were weeaboo, how does that make it an oxymoron? I really went, and those were really my logs.

If I went on some kawaii pocky munchers adventure, I'd have stuck to Tokyo. Which we didn't. We started in Hokkaido, took a train across the BEAUTIFUL country, under an ocean, spent SOME time in Tokyo, proceeded on to Kyoto, and finally Osaka. We most certainly weren't there just to eat pocky and drink ramune.
  • BIRA
I was wondering if you was to going to put your mouth in the water bottle, then you merely touch it... that was a bit disapointing, oh come on, that would be hot.

There was a coverage about ice cream city in German TV not long ago and the voted the top five worst tasting flavors and SNAKE won no. one so WORST taste ^_- !!
  • ttime23
:sigh: . So sad. I've never been out of the country. The whole Ice Cream City scenes made me go get a Blizzard. You have ruined my diet! :grr:

    J/K XD

Chocolate flavored water? Sounds like something Limp Bizkit would come up with. & I think I know of an asian buffet near me that has been paste flavored ice cream. I may have to give it a try!

How much japanese do you need to know when in Japan because I'm planning to go and am worried about the whole language barrier stuff.

Biggest worry is the train system but other than that I'd love to go.

    --
Also great video and seriously chasing pigeons they were pretty fat pigeons?

    Great video none the less.
  • MarzGurl
    avatar
If you're in Tokyo, you really need to know next to none (though, to be fair, you'd probably WANT to educate yourself as much as possible). All rail maps and time tables have an English version printed, and there will always be ticket kiosks with an English language option. But as soon as you start stepping farther and farther away from Tokyo, the English gets less and less easy to find.
  • LinksLove

I have got to see if they've got that chocolate sparkling water at Uwajimaya sometime...lol

Looks like you had a really good time! If I ever go to Japan, I should visit that ice cream place. :D
  • keyblade chick

You guys are in Japan, and your chasing pigeons???
    LMAO!

It's nice to see videos like this every now and then to break away from the usual videos people post. It gives a nice insight into who you are :)

I wish I could be there too. It looks like sooooo much fun! :D

    and..

I WISH I A KITTEN AND RIDE A RAINBOW! XDDD cute.
  • randommomentofdumbchick

hn iwish they had that ice cream at conventions in us. I want to try Octopus dumplings and real (red bean paste)an- pan. and melon pan. Basically i want to try food in japan.
  • Bronx Prodigy  - Hmm...
Far be it from me to ask but, are all of these truly what you recorded? For some odd reason, I'm curious as to the footage on the stairs that you shot.
  • MarzGurl
    avatar
Wait, what do you mean by that? I could take that in one of two ways. Either -
    A) You don't believe that was really me who filmed all that.

    or

    B) You think there should have been more.

Well, let me assure you, it was all me. I know you can't see me, but it's MY camera, and therefor I was the one filming.

There's more footage on my hard drive, but it's really boring stuff that doesn't really belong in a place like this. If people want more, hey, I can put it up, but you're going to be bored. I promise.
  • Bronx Prodigy  - What I meant
I was kind of referring to the stairs part of the vid. What was happening?
  • MarzGurl
    avatar
It's really as simple as it should have sounded. There were stairs. I was wearing shoes. Then I wasn't wearing shoes. 'Cause the shoes provided were too small.
  • Bronx Prodigy  - I see
I take it you were attempting to wear geta sandals, and well, to no avail. Thank goodness you didn't fall. Either way, enjoyable vid.
  • MarzGurl
    avatar
Nope, geta aren't allowed to be worn indoors most of the time. They were just tiny house slippers.
  • Bronx Prodigy  - Tiny house slippers, eh?
That's pretty interesting. I guess this could either be attributed to the fact that Japanese people have small feet, or that we on the West have big feet. Holy culture shock, Batman. I forgot to pack my Isotoners! LOL.
