I remember MST3King through the first two games you reviewed in the live stream. Kind of shame you didn't use most of the jokes your watchers commented on from the gameplay, including my own. Then again, the games don't deserve any good humor since they aren't fun enough to deserve it, so I can understand not using a vast majority of them.

Still it was a good call to use them as a Frisbee :D

I'm actually kind of sad that you didn't play any PC games. One of my FAVORITE games as a kid was a LBT PC game that had several different mini games, most of which would still be fun today if the game still worked. The one I can remember the best was a 3D-ish collection hedge maze, where you'd drop all of your items if you came across a sharp tooth. Rewards included unlockable clips from the ORIGINAL movie, none of the stupid sequels.
I know you're done with this series for good, but it would be worth it just to see a DECENT game.

Even now as an adult, looking back I'd love it if my kids had that game. The quality of the graphics might be questionable for the time it was released, but the music is pretty good. Not to mention the games can actually be pretty engaging for someone the right age.
Look it up! It's not perfect, but it's not horrible either!

oh geez... never mind. You don't have to look it up.
It's called "Activity Center", was released in 1997, and was intended as an educational game for preschool aged kids. I'd still rather play some of the mini games on it than any of the games shown here though.
Worth a youtube search for anyone curious. It's cheesy and for a young audience, but it at least gets a lot of it's material from the first movie, and does NOT include material from anything after the second movie (a blessing in itself).

God I loved the PC games. I had the Math Adventure and Activity Center. I know I still have them. I think they're in my Disney's Dinosaur CD case. I remember the maze. That one was soooo scary because the T-Rex came out of nowhere. I also remember there was a mini-game that was like a game show where Ducky was a host. Man, I played the shit out of those games. Yeah Marzgurl, you should have played them. I remember them being fun.

She's gonna take you back to the past,
To play these shitty games that suck ass,
She'd rather have, a buffalo,
Take a diarea dump in her ear,
She'd rather eat, a rotten asshole,
Of a Road Kill skunk and down it with beer,
She's so angry, she could almost hurl
She's the angry nintendo gurl
She's the angry Atari/Sega gurl
She's the angry video game gurl

1:25- The voices in this game sound like they were being made by a Speakonia (the voice of Linkara's robot Polo (pronounced as "Poyoh")) that was malfunctioning.
7:40- It's like the game designers didn't care about keeping the difficulty slightly difficult. Besides, this game was marketed for kids, and kids have little to no patience.
I really love how you end this video. Kinda reminds me of Linkara tossing his copy of "Ultimatum" in the trash.
Also, congradulations on completing anything to everything that is "The Land Before Time." Now you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy a watching of the original classic film.

BEST SERIES OF INTERNET REVIEWS EVAH!!!
That was a hell of a lot of fun. Going back to my childhood and telling to shut the fuck up like I should of done back then. And you also got me to re-watch the original and love it even more, and love the ending song entirely on its own. Thanks for this awesome gift MarzGurl! See you on the flip side!

Some people and parents might make the excuse for most of these games being so simple: "Oh, its a game for kids, it's supposed to be dumbed down." ...and most people don't realise, hey, that sentence severely insults kids' intelligence, and if they're parents, it insults their own kids' intelligence. Thing is, games are SUPPOSED to be a challenge...too much help, and too much tutorial defeats the purpose of playing it. And besides, no one, not even KIDS, like to be reminded how to do something every time they take a step.
At least you're done covering land before time stuff...and doing something I couldn't, which is sitting through ALL OF THE DIRECT-TO-VIDEO MOVIES.

Hell, as a kid I played a Sinclair Spectrum +2.
I sucked at it, but I was never disheartened or frustrated or developed a "Give up" complex, I just had fun.
Then later I had a NES. Oh yeah, cos the games on THAT were so easy. I still had fun, pushed through and eventually beat them. Well....most of them.
Dumbing stuff down so kids can beat them easilly teaches them nothing. Except perhaps "Life should be easy, and if it isn't clearly you're doing something wrong."

It's interesting, the fourth game here totally steals the format of Sonic Adventure. You choose from the different characters, then once you complete them you get an unlockable final level where you speed across the water going through rings. The character selection screen even looks the same. Sonic Adventure was a far far far far FAR superior game, of course.
But I wonder, why on earth would they choose that game of all things to copy?

First of all, congratulations for making it through. I found these reviews informative and often pretty amusing. Way to go.
I've got a request, though. If it isn't too much to ask, could you upload one whole cutscene from that first game into YouTube? I'm intrigued by the horrible voice acting.
edit: Ah, nevermind, I found a let's play after some poking around.

06.09.2011 - 08:32 | johnkenpwnsThank you for doing what few of us could do willingly.
Now, let us never speak of this again for as long as this review exists.
(Feel free to talk about the first film, though.)
