Fuck, I was that fucking buzz-kill kid. Damn, I hate myself.
School lied to me, "Focus on your studies, you can have fun when you graduate."
I graduated, but I had no friends. My social skills are shit and I had a total mental breakdown because the school work didn't get me anywhere. I got A-Bs, so I could relax after high school. Now, I'm forced to go into college, which is where I should've been saving my brain and study habits for instead of fucking high shcool. Damn! I hate my fucking life.

Well I graduated from college 2 years ago only to wind up unemployed for 7 months, and then spending a year working as a security guard followed by janitor.
Luckily I got a decent job now with good money, but it has absolutely nothing to do with my studies, nor does it even require a college degree, and the only reason I got the job at all is because I knew somebody. Infact, that's how all my friends and relatives have gotten work, connections.
I was lead to believe that hard work and studying would get you far, it didn't. Only knowing the right people.
Sorry pal, but your relaxation isn't coming any time soon.
-
Look I sympathize with your frustration, but really? You thought doing good in High School would be all you needed? Of course you had to go to college pretty much everyone does unless you want to go to trade schools or work at Mcdonalds. Hell whats the big deal its not like you used all your intelligence in High School so you don't have any more left for college thats not how that works. So you worked hard in high school well if you want to be a functional member of society you have to work a little bit longer then that. If you feel like all the work you needed to do was in high school then you need a serious reality check my friend. I could go on but I feel like I'm beating a dead horse of ignorance here >.>

"Of course you had to go to college pretty much everyone does unless you want to go to trade schools or work at Mcdonalds."
I never went to college or trade school and I live in a huge house on the beach... if you intend to start your own business or have connections college is completely pointless. I think 'pretty much everyone' is a bit of an exaggeration... :/
...
...
And how 'bout those dinosaurs, huh?

congratulations, u finally figured out the way of the world. this is the real world, high school doesnt matter, as long as u graduate. so unless u have some sort of plan to get around it, college is the only way to go. its like the old saying, u can sleep when youre dead. until then, there wont b much relaxing

The TV series has one season of 26 episodes, with 4 episodes on 6 DVDS (which doesn't make sense because that would mean its only 24 episodes, but whatever); 7 games: 2 PC games, 2 Gameboy Advance; and 3 for the original Playstation.
We're looking at 13 more reviews of the Land Before Time franchise.
Strap in fellas, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Congratulations MarzGurl on reaching movie 13, it was quite a challenge to review all 13 land before time movies, I like your land before time reviews, a whole lot better then when I reviewed them last year.
Don't worry about the tv series so much, it's not worth over some hard earn sleep.
Anyway, I look forward for your other reviews, later down the road.
Have a nice day.

Wow, games too? damn, milk the crap out of that series. I thought you were going to mention the musical only movie you missed... or wait..nvm i think that was just a VHS with all the previous songs on it? If you cover the series AND games, that would be awesome, but can you make yourself suffer MORE? and 13 sucked....

Damn Marz ill be honest I really haven't paid to much attention to your stuff since I started watching all these crazy awesome videos, but seriously this whole series has been an absolute treat for me, I watched the first 3 of these movies so many times.
I remember liking them all at one point but of course we get older and the shades of childhood come off and the first is the only one ill still watch I just pretended the others didn't exist...but watching you suffer through them just really caught me, regardless you gained a fan from this so keep up the good work!

This movie is utter shit. I'm glad I was never subjected to it as a child and am scarred for knowing of its existence.
To quote Cell on the Beipiosarus':
"Their ignorance is painful."
Finally, when Little foot's Grandmother say you should stay in a group, she sounds like she belongs on one of City 17's holoscreens.

I'm not so sure about that. The way the TV series is, it was most likely an afterthought. At least, it better have been an afterthought, because if it wasn't, than the TV series was a no-assed attempt at suckitude.
No matter how bad the movies were, seemingly besides this one, I always felt like there was at least slight effort put in. The TV series is even more shifted in tone than this movie, has even worse songs that feel even more pointless, and I don't think it's possible for it to be much worse. Good luck on the series Marzgurl. You are really, REALLY going to need it.
Also, I knew there were a few games, but I wouldn't guess there were a whole lot. Go figure on that one, but they really can't be any worse than the TV series ... right?
-
05.10.2011 - 20:09 | pstrifeI've enjoyed the reviews greatly, sadly it must continue on through other media.
Otherwise the last act in this video felt too forced for my tastes. You didn't need to force yourself to do all of that forced acting at the end.

I watch the LBT sequels, and they're all painful, but I keep dwelling on one character from them in particular: Chomper.
When I saw the movies involving Chomper, I could only think of one thing: a sequel where the kids are adults, they harbor adult Chomper as fugitive from other Sharptooths as he is seen as weak for trying to eat vegetables instead of other sentient beings, and he ends up having addict-like withdrawal pangs from trying to eat a diet of plants rather than his friends.
Needless to say, it ends up pretty much being a Jason movie; Chomper goes on a rampage, getting close to the others by playing on their sympathies; the entire Great Valley's wall comes down and ends up overrun by Sharptooths from the Mysterious Beyond and engulfed in flames and death, and the series ends with Littlefoot slaying his only friend still alive (being that that friend ate all the other ones), Chomper. He then walks off into the Mysterious Beyond, contemplating his chances for survival and the destruction of Eden and innocence.
...And none of this was, like, a joke in my head. This was seriously, honestly, how I saw this all ending. It was the only logical conclusion to Chomper's character arc.
And it's really kind of hard to not see that being the ending when Chomper is a REGULAR IN THE SERIES.
-
... Goodness, do you have a morbid imagination.
That being said, I wish they'd hire you for it. That would be kind of awesome.
-
I guess I was more bored with the films than I realized, because I was a child when I first saw some of these films and fantasized this. Maybe I do have a morbid imagination, but I can't look at Chomper and see any way his friendship with a bunch of walking T-bone steaks can ultimately end well. Again, to me, it wasn't to make fun of the films, little me was just trying to figure out something that I guess never even crossed the writers' minds.

At least all the sequels are over and done with. And look on the bright side; at least the TV series only had 26 short episodes and there were only seven games released (2 PC games, 2 Gameboy Advanced, and 3 for Playstation).
This movie was SO STUPID. despite the other movies being dumbed down, I guess they saved the worst for last. Nothing can ever beat the original film.
I wish you the best of luck. For the battle will soon be won!

05.10.2011 - 21:04 | ShotkingThere is supposedly a 14th movie in the works called "The Land Before Time XIV: The Growing Sky Stone". Ever since it was announced a few years back, however, I haven't seen any news at all regarding what it would be about, who would be casted, or when it will come out. Did Universal cancel it in favor of the TV series or that the 13th movie was like the "Batman & Robin" to the LBT movies that it cant be saved (that is if the film even got beyond the discussion stage)? On the other hand, I guess I should be thankful that it stopped as soon as it did, not counting the TV series. In fact, it might have been a better movie series if they'd stopped at, say, part six. That, at least, could have been looked at as an act of mercy. :)
-
05.11.2011 - 13:52 | robokill387that's obviously someone's joke. "the growing sky stone" is a reference to an asteroid. get it?

I have a crazy suggestion for the next anniversary! Y ruler of time, goes back in time where he gathers everyone from that guy with glasses.com and says"I am from the future, and I'm here to warn you there something coming, one of us will going insane, reviewing a series from a franchise!" Then they all look at spoony.

Not the TV series! D:
Run away MarzGurl! RUN!
But good God, why did they dumb these movies down so much? I remember back in the 90s when the sequels came out that even my tiny little kindergarten brain was like 'Why are there more?' Ah well. At least it'll be over soon!
And I like how you're doing your hair now! I would suggest layers, but hey, I can't talk since I don't know crap about hair.

But I love this series MarzGurl! Made me happy every time I saw a new video up.
