I watch this movie as a child and love so much as Star Wars
This movie is fun as possible for a B movie
And there's more hot girls than star wars :)

I just saw this movie a few months ago! It was super silly but also super fun! And Stella Star was HOT!

Damn Ed,where you have been at? I really miss your Deja View reviews.

Now,Starcrash is relatively well known among B-movie fans but you forgot to mention the awfully anticlimatic speech at the end by Christopher "What Am I Doing Here?" Plummer.

If you want to see an AWESOME Italian SW ripoff try to find a copy of L'Umanoide (The Humanoid - 1979) starring Richard Kiel (Jaws from the Roger Moore 007 movies). You won't regret it.

"The Humanoid" is on my list as well, thanks for the reminder!

This movie looks entertaining. I wanna check it out. And the special effects are beautiful for what was allotted to make them.

I'll take cheap practical effects over CG any day; even if the result is unintentional humor.

I'm sorry, I can't help it... I'm burstin' out laughing every time Ed says the director's name.

The name's Luigi Cozzi (pronounced "cawtzee") but Ed's calling him Cazzi (pronounced "cahtzee"), the most vulgar italian word for "dicks" (or "cocks").

Oh dear. That's almost too subtle a difference for a humble American English speaker like myself, haha. I'll see about revoicing those sections to make them a little less rude. ;-)

Don't worry Ed, it's not a big deal - here in Italy we don't have many "taboo" words and nobody will find your video offensive (blasphemies, on the other hand, are a very serious matter) ;-) BTW I hope I didn't sound like I was making fun of you, it's hard to avoid pronounciation mistakes when two languages are so different (this one generated an hilarious coincidence, I just couldn't resist writing about it).

    That's Starcrash with CAROLINE MUNROOOOO!!!!

It's like Star Wars, but with more BABES!

She doesn't wear any skimpy outfits towards the third act of the movie though...8(

I just watched this movie on youtube like a week and a half ago, and I agree it's actually not that bad. Though, i will admit, the heroine's human sidekick growing new mental super powers every five mins. was a bit strange. However, like i said the movie is not that bad. I also kinda liked all the shots in space with the different colored lights for stars in the back ground.
  • Skinjob  - I liked it. A lot! :)

I had known about this movie for quite some time, but never actually got around to watching it - that is, until I spotted it in a store for 5€.

It was a Star Wars rip-off with The Hoff, that alone was reason enough to buy it. So I got it and subjected my friend to it. We basically riffed the movie while watching it but MY GOD WAS IT GLORIOUS.

Best budget movie I ever bought, and I will advocate it to anyone with the right mindset. This is a movie that is so much fun to watch if you can look past the cheap, but fairly well done special effects.

If nothing else, it looks great on the shelf and whenever anyone asks what the hell it is, I say "I am SO glad you asked..." :D

Next on my to do list: subject someone to "Sharktopus" - half-shark, half-octopus, all killer. I expect great things of it :)
  • johncrab  - So bad, it's good.
I picked this up at a yard sale for twenty-five cents years ago. I thought it was going to be just terrible. I bought it because Marjoe Gortner was in it. (I'd seen his 1972 documentary that won the Academy Award for Best Documentary. It's called, Marjoe.)

I actually enjoyed the movie very much. Also, I didn't even know Hasselholf was in it.

I give it a rating of: So bad, it's good.

Yay, Ed is back with Deja view! How I missed these!

The movie looks like fun. I doubt I will find a copy of it in the shops, but maybe I can hunt down some clips on youtube. Ah, how often is it the case that not the budget, but the passion and the vision of the director/writers make out the success of the franchise.
Damn, now I want to watch young Hoff pull a Han Solo.
