I've got to get this game!

Very nice review of the game, Sage. The game turned out to be the best or one of the best (Depends on your view of things) Batman games ever created. All the nice nods towards the other Batman villians not fought in the game, the cool patient interview tapes, and the entire look and feel of the game shows that creators cared very much about the Batman universe.

The only complaint I can gather from the game is that there wasn't enough villians to fight and that Batman looks a bit over muscular.

At least he wasn't designed by Rob Liefeld

This review just makes me want the game even more! I must get a PS3!

haha I would buy this game just for Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy. Its a good thing the game looks awesome too.

I downloaded and played the demo, and while I can't actually judge the game based on that, it definitely didn't make me want to buy the game. The battling felt repetitive, and I just wasn't that impressed. I will still probably check it out, but I'm not putting $60 into it.

the demo sucked but the game is great i've played through it and have done most of the challenge rooms and it is GREAT

You don't really get a great feel for the combat in the demo to be honest, it really comes into it's own with larger groups of enemies and your trying to maximise your combo

I heard that u can play as the joker on the ps3 version.
either way the game looks sick.

Yes, it's lots of fun, but he's a tougher character to use than batman

i got the ps3 version and yes the joker is playable but not in the main game that would have been awesome though

Man... that is the freakiest version of the Scarecrow I've ever seen.

The PS3 version gives you access to the Joker Challange Room. It's basically playing through various other challange rooms as Joker instead of Batman.

It's alright, but was somewhat let down. Joker was more amusing then anything, with his attacks. He spanks some of the enemies, and he ends some combo's by busting out his gun and caping them. :p

If you have both systems, it is worth getting the PS3 version over the 360 just for that.

THat asside, amazing review as always Sage.

the only thing i have a tough time with is the detective mode. though it is really helpful and stuff, it obscures your vision to me. Because you cant really see the actual areas or the characters, everything is blue and red, just kinda ruins the graphics to me

At that last scene those bars man even i could fit through them and they actually wonder why bust outs keep happening 5 days a week.

Definitely an amazing game. I managed to beat 85% of the game on my first playthrough, so I think it won't have tons of replay value, even with the challenges, but it's an impressive game nonetheless.

With what they did with this, a change of setting and a fresh batch of bad guys not utilized in the first game, a sequel could be quite simple to do, but like you said at the start, they could've just done a very simple game, but gave us something way more.

i beat this game last night, and god it was great.
not only a great batman game, but a great steatlh action game!

I just beat the game today. It is a fantastic and satisfying game that was well worth the wait. I'm hoping for a sequel, but Rocksteady/Eidos needs to take their time with that- just as they did with this game.
Arkham Asylum is probably the best game of 2009! (in my opinion)

A game better than you expect these days is pretty damn rare. And Arkham Asylum did it.

I'm waiting for the PC version on September 15th...and it can't come soon enough.

Holy crap, they made Harley really hot!

This game is great, one of the few games that makes you feel like the titular superhero.Detective work,stealth,and those Wonderful wonderful toys.The only real complaints I have are the relative lack of rouges but that's only because the ones that do appear were greatly represented, and I would have liked Killer Croc to have a heavier Cajun accent but that's just me.

Oh and the game was co-written by Paul Dini and that is awesome.

Whoever had the idea to get Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy to do the voice acting for this game was a freaking genious and should get a noble prize...just awesome

If you ask me, they are the best Batman and Joker that we have ever had, really, props to them and I am glad to hear people talking about a sequel!

Me and my brother are waiting for the PC version to come out.
