There exists a manga about all of the powers of the earth settling world issues... by playing shogi, Japan's version of chess.
Adolf Hitler appears from a giant Nazi UFO and "battles" the Pope.
HE GOES SUPER ARYAN.
So yeah, the SS Hitler idea has been used more than once

I would never know why Gofer would think at any moment a story of Goku and a love relationship of Anne Frank taking place in World War 2 would be a good fanfic. Also, what was with the ending of that story? It didn't make sense.
I am joyful you make these horrible fanfics enjoyable in a way, but I couldn't bare to read the two fanfics you read so far half-way.

BAD! BAD FANFIC! BAD!
Good episode though.
BTW, for a minute there, I thought you were gonna say next week, you picked something from Oscar AKA Artemis's Lover.
Back to my freak out. FANFIC HURT ME!

02.27.2009 - 20:44 | keakiOh, that explains Hitler's fixation with the so-called "master race": he's a Super Saiyan. Ingenious.
Sage, how do you find such shitty fanfics?

Oh sweet merciful crap...
Even though I've never really followed Dragonball or its incarnations, I'd heard wind of this fanfic through TV Tropes and the descrpition alone boggled my mind but hearing the actual story out loud, word for word...my jaw was left hanging open for a good couple minutes.
Nothing could have prepared me for that!
I have a feeling Masterpiece Fanfic Theatre is going to become my catnip here at TGWTG: you know you're going to encounter some "stories" known to cause brain-damage but damn if it isn't fun to hear you nonchalantly take it down a few pegs!
-
12.13.2010 - 18:40 | Casandraelfit's a fanfic written by a retarded fan, so canon makes no sense to them.
i could barely get through it

Right up until the point where Hitler went super-sayan, you could have easily swapped out Goku for Superman and had a golden age comic book story. After that... well, sounds like DBZ to me!
P.S. so when exactly are you going to get to the best of fanfiction? I'm just curious: the worst sure is fun to pick apart, but I would be disappointed if mocking the bad stuff is all you end up doing.
P.P.S. Jovial[/ url] is a word, but I'm uncertain about the status of jovially other than my spellcheck isn't complaining about it as I type this.

Perhaps it is my fault, but I don't intend to read GOOD quality fanfics, mainly because I don't find them nearly as memorable as the cracked ones.
After getting this request many times, I figured out why people are asking me about good fanfics, they are mistaking my intro line. It's "The very best IN the very worst of fan fiction", not "The very best AND the very worst of fan fiction". My apologies for accidentally leading people on.

Well, maybe I'll be shunned for this, but I suppose SOME points must be awarded for a clever--if ultimately nonsensical--reason for Hitler's Aryan fixation despite him not being one himself. I mean, Vegeta believed in the superiority of his race too... I mean, my brain still shut down for like a minute because it couldn't process how insane the idea was, but I believe in giving credit where credit's due.
Even that tiny bit of creativity, however, was undone with "Super Ultra Power Saiyan." Good lord. Really? That's it? That's the best they could do?
Also, speaking giving credit where it's due, what's the deal with all these authors having rodents in their pen/screennames? HammoHAMSTER, GOPHER-chan, SQUIRREL king...am I sensing a pattern? Or is it simply coincidence and after the third video it'll change?
Wonderfully done Sage. If the rest of the series is as amusing as the first two, I may have a new favorite on the site.
But who thinks Gopher-chan will continue the trend of the first video and grace us with their presence to order this being taken down, amidst threats of hacking and other nonsensical things? Anyone? Anyone?

Ahhhhh, thank you for clarifying. Yeah, I was hearing an "and" where there was none, listening to it a second time.

What about reading some of the old Ratliff fanfiction? Granted, you'd need to find the originals...
.. okay, nevermind. You COULDN'T find any unmisted version, they've all been revised.
Still, I must submit the old versions as absolutely horrible.

DBZ and Anne Frank. DBZ and ANNE FRANK?! What's the connection? This is....just a horrible fanfic with the WWII backdrop. Hitler shouldn't be a superpowered nut.
Seriously. Eww. If I want to see a super fight him, he'd better be punching him in the jaw like this:

Thanks for outlining this horrid tale, Bennett. I understand the statement and behalf of all writers, I'll take it and burn it in Linkara's bad comic pile.
Or is that too good for it? Seriously. Hitler and Anne Frank?!

02.28.2009 - 03:33 | RelickWell, that was a strange little tale. Sounds to me that someone was doing a school project or something on WWII and got carried away, as it wasn't poorly written, but had an incredibly bizarre concept that seemed almost tacked together with spit and masking tape. Also, seeing as the story did a decent (read, DECENT, not great, just passable) job of carrying the story along, but fell flat with its rather abrupt ending, further makes me think this was for an English class, and the writer started running out of time to finish it before it was due. Granted, I have no idea WHY someone would use a Dragonball Z character for this sort of story (as opposed to using an original character), but then again, I try not to understand fanfics in general.
