That is like the worst case solution to piracy. I have some games that I re-install when my system crashes or I buy a new PC.

It sucks that a game which everyone is talking so highly about (DailyDestin, for example) has the same protection BS of Spore. It seems like a really good game, but all the legal stuff is gonna really limit it for gamers.

This doesn't even help combat piracy; hell, it enocurages it. Considering how it generally is with releases like this, the game has already been cracked and put up for torrenting.

And of course you can install it as many times as you like with the cracked version.

I don't know why everyone is complaining. It should be fine as long as your computer never gets a virus or crashes EVER!

When I'm buying a game I buy right to play it. This whole DRM thing is taking my right to play the game away from me. Developing companies sell a product to costumers without including the basic right to use it. So if I pirate a game that is DRM protected I'm not stealing it, because I have no right to play it to begin with. Conclusion: pirating a game is ok. And now... WHO THE F*** CAME UP WITH THAT IDEA?!?! It's... like.....What were they thinking?

I hate DRM. I got Far Cry 2 for $15 over Steam and they have DRM AND a CD Key on it. Both of those things are USELESS when using Steam, and I've already used 2 of my installs from system crashes. It's a load of BS is what it is.

Same thing happened with my Bioshock. Since I can't use the installs for that anymore (2, if memory serves me right) I'm forced to get an illegal version of the game that I paid for legally. It's stupid and downright awful that us honest gamers that pay for our games are treated like the criminals.

Do you guys want to know a better way to catch these people who illegally download games? Simple. Put a version of the game out on a torrent site yourselves, and have an IP tracker in with it. Simple as that...At least, it's better than this DRM crap.

That is pretty gay, it makes you wonder if some of these Developers/publishers are trying to sabotage the PC games market. In order to herd more customers towards consoles were they will make another $5-$10 on each copy sold, while having a much easier time detecting piracy. I really do despise elitist PC gamers(as well as console fanboys, particularly Sony's), but that is absolutely unjustifiable.

I agree that Piracy is something that is an issue and is starting to fuck with honest people. Simple fact is, the companies selling these products are stupid. All this does is force people to steal.

Reason I have bold that sentence is because as a Hacker, do you really think they would fall for something as simple as that? Yes, a lot of Piracy requires Hacking. Not only the fact that they would see that from a mile away, they more than likely already have a Proxy Server. Thus, you can't see their IP Address anyway.

I remember the times when hard drives had smaller capacity then CD's. Games gave player joy and sense of piece in his/her heart. Now Computer Game Entertainment makes your brain drown in adrenaline.
