My favorite aspect of this episode has got to be how more and more ridiculous it got progressively as it went on (in a good way). Noah's insanity ever rising, along with Insano's lack of concern for the whole matter...all culminating in a final showdown! The only question I have is...what is next?
Is this some sort of set up for a new form of the Spoony Experiment? Or something more...sinister?

I personally never understood Uetmatsu's repeated attempts at love songs over the course of several Final Fantasies...His melodic writing /is/ his strength, yes, but...c'mon, he goes from the opera scene in VI to [b]this?![/b]

even the nostalgia critic reviews old nostalgic stuff from the 80's and 90's and his vids are live action, I wouldn't call him an avgn rip-off, but he comes pretty close.

Spoony may be an "AVGN ripoff" but his stuff is 1000x better than the crap you posted on your youtube channel. Pasting your cartoon face and the Mona Lisa in a JibJab video is pretty lame.
But hey, keep trying hard, develop a sense of humor, and wait until your balls drop and voice changes, and you can be an AVGN ripoff, too.

nevermind that comment, The only reason I posted that comment was because how annoyed Iv'e been getting from you trolling avgn nazi's, not all of you, but some of you. since every person who said I'm an avgn rip-off got thumbs up and better treated, I thought I'd do the same, I do that exact same thing as everyone else except when I say it's like the end of the world, seriously, it doesn't make any sense I review movies, yet I get called a rip-off, when other video game reviews like Spoony don't, I don't think he's a rip-off, I like Spoony, he's funny. The way this post reads, your earlier comment was supposed to be some joke or commentary on people calling you out for your videos and getting up voted...not only does the post not make it clear that it was a joke (if it was one), but that whole premise is so self serving and selfish that there's really not much that needs to be said beyond that.
In addition, responding to negativity with flaming doesn't win you any points, either. I probably have spent far more time than I really needed to replying to you, but the last straw was you playing the victim card in this whole mess. At this point, you've been banned twice...changing the spacing between your name every time you make an account isn't the most clever method you could be using..

First off, there is not a place on this site that you can point out that anyone didn't get downvoted to oblivion for calling any of the great reviewers here an AVGN Ripoff. Second, and this is the most important one, James Rolfe holds no patent, copyright, or, otherwise ownership over reviewing [i]anything[/i] on the internet. Believe it or not, there's even some people who don't like his AVGN reviews and would prefer to watch the reviewers here instead. I pity the man for the caliber of fan he has to put up with sometimes. And last but not least, don't mess with Spoony, he'll punch you in the soul!

It's over..finally over...but at what cost? what..you know what fuck it, That was an awesome review and the ending pukes of awesomeness what a great ride, Suall vs Spoony, Burton ending it all in an ultimate explosion and cameos lots of cameos and I love seeing cameos and of course my favorite...Dr Insano. For FFVIII at least. I hope that Spoony's bouts with FF continue, as it seems like his AVNG. Here's hoping for an epic FFX review or Phantasmagoria stlye riffing on the upcoming FFXIII.

And if liking Eyes On Me takes away my Man Cards, I don't want them to begin with.

Edit: I think Eyes on Me is only popular because of Faye Wong.

Okay. Fine. I admit it. I liked Eyes on Me. But that was ten years ago and the game had just been released. Compounding that, I was an incredible Square fan boy the time. Today, I hate the song. I cringe every time I hear it. Doesn't help that in spite of my best efforts and copious amounts of alcohol, I still have the entire song memorized.
Final Fantasy 8 was a huge step up in video game visuals. One could argue that those visuals helped spawn the horror that was Spirits Within, but that's a rant for another day. And the combat system was a huge departure from the traditional Final Fantasy combat system that showed Square was willing to experiment a bit with their flagship product. Granted the experiment was a hilarious, game-breaking failure with an over-complicated resource system, but hey, they were trying. I think.
Final Fantasy 8 was never my favorite in the series. It is a game that I will likely never play again. It simply doesn't have the staying power other installments have had with me. It's not the worst Final Fantasy, in my opinion, but it's far from the best. It has a lot of wasted potential. And the border-line incoherent plot line doesn't help. The game almost requires one to look to external sources to fill in the plot holes.
But one thing Final Fantasy 8 is most certainly not some epic love story. And no amount of sappy J-Pop will ever change that.

Wow that was fantastic, Spoony. I can't believe how well and methodically you ripped this game to pieces.
...although in the end credits you put "Julia Heartilly". That character was actually Raine Loire.
In the end, as much as I don't like Final Fantasy VIII, I actually hated IX a lot more.
