Funny story.......FF 7 came out when I was in 7th grade(weird), and during one of my English classes, the teacher told us to put away our textbooks. He then proceeded to hand out copies of pages from the OFFICIAL FF 7 STRATEGY GUIDE.......and we took turns reading from these pages out loud..........True Story. I think the teacher caught someone reading the guide in an earlier class, and had that kid make copies for the whole class to read, to embarass him I guess.

I did learn something from that english class though............how to get past that first reactor in the beginning of the game. ;D

Sorry for not choosing Aerith, I only had eyes for Tifa back then. Way to go in stepping up on what is truly the saddest scene from the Final Fantasy series. I knew Spoony could cry. The Don Corneo stage was one I think I was trying to forget along with the blaring oversights that shows from FFVII not exactly lasting the test of time game wise. Being a fan of FFVII, I can relate to what you speak of.

I agree for everything you said, except for the Vincent Valentine stuff. Do you know that, in some cultures, vampires do not drink blood but simply suck people's souls out? Not that he does that either, but it's just to say that he doesn't have to drink blood. Has for the game Dirge of Cerberus, the only reason people think it sucks is because it's a third person shooter, which people don't want to have when they're thinking about Final Fantasy.

I totally agree with you. I just started watching these videos today, and had to stop to comment on this one. I totally agree that 90% of Otaku and Anime Fans are just...idiots. I almost feel like my IQ drops when I see a new anime or a new hentai picture of some game/anime girl. It's so embarassing to us...(-sigh-) alas...there is nothing we -can- do as we, the sensible fans, have tried calming down our fallen brethren. A sad day that was...

I never got into FF7 until after the movie came out and provided some much needed exposition on random things. I can't remember which things, but it at least gave me an idea as to why it was so popular. Cloud and Sephiroth are basically the poster-boys for RPG heroes and villains.

I wouldn't mind replaying this one, but I think I'd rather wait for that PS3 remake they'll eventually cave in and make one day. After Advent Children, I don't feel like I can go back to some of the scariest-looking CG characters ever.

I experimented with names for some of the FFVII characters and here is my list of great, or not so great depending on your sense of humor, for some of the characters.

Aeris= "A Whore" Now yes I know Spooney calls Rhinoa that too, but frankly there is nothing quite as funny as saving outside of her house and having it say "A Whore's House." Also a real giving line is "So you're the Ancient?" "I'm A Whore! At least get my name right." Priceless.

Vincent= "A Cow Moo". I know this is dumb, but I got really stoned and him saying "I'm A Cow Moo, formerly of Shinra." busted me up.

And Finally Cloud = "PigF*cker" (Edited so I don't get in trouble.) This is the name that keeps on giving. Try it. They say his name so often it becomes almost like they are constantly insulting him. "Why don't you ask PigF*cker?" "What do you think, PigF*cker?" "PigF*cker is the leader." and so on. If you have an occasionally childish mind, this never loses it's novelty.

Another fun one for Cloud is "F*ck Off" only for the train scene where he flips in and everyone says his name all at once.

I'll ignore the cosplaying comments, b/c I want to go to a cosplay convention someday.

Well FF6 was way more intense than 7, at least for me, that game had such a great story. This game was so great, I would be about to cry sometimes. And that sure says something. :D

ya i agree i was able to enjoy the spin offs but i do feel that 7 gets to much attention compared to certain other games (ff9, and 6). still i found this hilarious i may be in a minority or a super pervert but i actually liked final fantasy 10-2 alot. Well thanks for bashing ff7 spoony i love the game but it does have some stupid moments, but please don't compare yuffee to naruto at least she doesn't yell believe it all the time. o and thanks for showing the opera scene from ff6 i love that game.

I like FFVII, but I do think it's overrated like you say. FFVI is still and forever will be my fav FF. But wow! I would have figured there would be porn of this, but this is really disgusting. I have to agree as an anime fan myself: Those fanboys need to leave their perverted ideas to themselves and not the public.

yeah the otaku...oy thing is we Furs have the same problem...only in much higher doses...oh well. your right about a lot of stuff, i mean i loved FF7, it was fun it looked great to me at the time, the scary homoerotic scenes were more hilarious and silly to me than awkward.

but your right, the new breed of fan this game brought was overkill. i saw the movie. and while i thought it looked cool, it didn't really make much sense, and when i stopped to think about it. you HAD to be a fan to really enjoy the thing because if you didn't play the game or had any context as to who anybody was in that thing, you would say it was the most mind numbing and foolish movie on the market,

no one was introduced, they just jumped right into things, and didnt explain what anythign was or why. i mean Christ the part where Sepheroth is defeated and is suddenly just floating there with his single wing spouting some emo nonsense....what was the point? to show he was some divine being turned fallen..or just a screen shot for the Fans to dorkgauzm over

Basically it was just one long well rendered cut scene they didn't put into the game.

in all essence, its ok to really enjoy something...but know when to draw the line for yourself. otherwise you give what it is you love and those with similar thoughts, a bad image.

ok FF VII Is a good Game but the best story in any FF is FF V and Iv a any EVA Fan and it does and it has a deeper Story than All newer FF games Barring 9 and half of the FF Hentai on the net is my work

X-2 was every gamer's nightmare. It reeled you in with a relatively fun gaming system and FUCKED YOU WITH BAD PLOT.

Also Spoony- I am A HUGE anime nerd and I'm not the least offended by your statements. Everyone gets to like what they want. Though I gotta say, the most all out I go for cosplay is uh...40 bucks. I don't understand much more.

My vote, still, goes to the Sonic ones as the worse. Considering I can't have an opinion or give constructive critisim on the series, as I'm just a sheep listening to reviewers and just play Halo according to them (which is stupid, because I hate Halo). Also, I give it to them just for the creepiness of the fanbase (do not look up sonic even with the safety on in google image search).

However, on topic with FFVII, I once meet the series original character designer, Yoshitaka Amano, and was able to ask him a question. I wanted to ask him what his thoughts on Tetsuya Nomura's character designs for the series (FFVII, VIII, X and XIII), but I didn't because I didn't want to get killed by people cosplaying as his characters full of stupid details.

Oh, Sonic gets a LOT of hate. The series was already doomed to hatred because of its anthropomorphic characters, and the addition of fan art on the level of that Quistis picture put the final nail in the coffin. Still, I have yet to see evidence of creepy fat guys dressing up as Amy Rose, so Final Fantasy has a bit of an edge there.

I was only thirteen at the time, so I don't count as a grown man, but I wept at the scene where Aeris died. I seriously wanna know though: Why is it that when somebody dies in battle, it's no biggie, but when somebody dies in a CUTSCENE it's like

i saw a video on showgrounds once something balamb garden and in it sephiroth kills someone i think its zell if memory serves and quistis uses a phoenix down on him but it doesn't work sephiroth claims that anyone killed by his masamune is indefinitely dead, seeing as how i didn't care for aeris or zell so it didnt bother me, yay celes is singing in glorious 16 bit. i know that its fanficiton but its probably a better reason then the creators would give.
