Am i the only one that made it this far i must be worthy of watching the whole thing that last video wasnt even enjoyable to watch i only listened and watched some it was freaking funny i hope this one pleases to i may have to go to my bunk. Good job not puuting the card game on the video great idea borrowing it from youtube and now that u mention it the only one that i thought was remotely fun was bitzball on ffX maybe the creators thought hey maybe they want to play a game within a game but lets make it like the popular things out there hmmm like magic the gathering or yu-gi-oh or pokemon ohh and lets put soccer but in water. (how do they hold their breaths that long in that game goodness.) some one might like it not me though.

Having Quistis appear in your room was the only enjoyable benefit I found in going with the card miniquests. It's too deep and convoluted that I just gave up after the Quistis encounter. I'll admit your take on that little quest was amusing. They had the right concept of having subquests (Much like FFVII) but on here and then on it just went entirely in the wrong direction...

dude, the triple triad game was genius. it was cleverly put together and somewhat fun to play. it also served a HUGE purpose in the game (yeah, FF fans you know what I'm talking about *wink wink*)
if you want to pick on a lame card game, pick on FF9's card game, not FF8's.

You have to give FF8 credit - at least the card game is optional. I remember only hearing about it once, and after that, I actually went the rest of the game without even acknowledging it's existence. I didn't see the point of pursuing a career in card playing when there were time-traveling sorceresses going around blowing up the moon.

02.25.2009 - 14:47 | dancergirl88Well, I stuck with you for the Drawing thing, and now I have stuck with you through the card game.
Again, this wasn't in the walkthrough I watched. Apparently the other guy was warned ahead of time and was able to avoid this.
Again, you have my pity.

In ff9 you are forced to play the card game. i hate the card game in both 8 and 9 but i am glad that 8 makes it optional.

03.24.2009 - 15:11 | slayride - Triple TriadNot the worst mini-game, but still it got on my nerve that they basically put a Magic: The Gathering game with Ante, a game that itself no longer uses the Ante rule with good reason. Nobody wants to lose their Mox Ruby for your Forest. In FFVIII it is the same thing. I lose Ifrit or good rare for the prospects of winning the Blue Dragon or Chimera card. I have to give credit that Triple Triad is actually a game and has rules that are explained to you. A lot of them suck, but they at least have rules and the numbers make sense. FFIX card game WTF? My cards transform over time to weaker, stronger cards? And why is it necessary to play it during the actual story progression? If you are going to have these card games, why can't I just buy a Booster Box with Gil and get my cards that way? Turning monsters into cards is funny at least. Still it makes no sense in the context of the larger game. And why is everyone willing to play at all times? It would be like FFX and Spira where everyone is a Blitzball Player (I hired Wannabe Kid and Couldabeen Geezer to the Besaid Aurochs! Yes!).
