Have you ever tried Ikaruga?

Even I beat Ikaruga. It doesn't hold a candle to some of these games. It is unbelievably fun though. :D

The intro to this is my favorite thing about this entire series... you introduce SS as an omnipotent god, an unstoppable force of absolute power ..... who can die in one hit by ANYTHING.

It's just very well timed.

here is some of the built in passwords (which considering how sadistic the programmers were, it would be more than understandable, nay recommended that you make use of these, after all, they programmed these in too)

granted invincibility would make it too easy, but the full power ups and the unlimited continues are good ones to have, and would certainly save your sanity a bit.

You know what this means someone had to acutely had to beat the game more then TWICE to get these right

My friend beat this game on an emulator with save states, just so we could see the ending. It's so full of shit.

I want to suggest Vector Man for the Sega Genesis next. It's a game I accually got to the last level on but I couldn't beat the final boss.

Great Video and I loved the ending with "They're Coming to Take Me Away" by Jim Stafford. The man who sang "My Girl Bill" and "Spiders and Snakes" one of my favorite artists from the 70's!

This has got to be one of the worst games I ever saw, it's not just that we have to believe the Silver Surfer is made out of paper, but that was some of the most piss poor level design I have EVER seen, and in the top down stages why is the board so long? It makes your stupid hit box that much bigger, and it doesn't even scale to the side scrolling part!

Holy hell, how were you ever able to beat Silver Surfer? I first saw this game on the Angry Nerd, and it looked so mind-blowingly ridiculous that I knew I would never so much as lay a finger on it. And yet you went full in there and beat that sucker into the ground. Congrats, a million times, congrats!

That was a pretty damn cool video, too. I love the ways you used to describe the insanity of the game developers, and then hitting the point home with "They're Coming To Take Me Away." Simply awesome.

I was rendered speechless upon finding out Silver Surfer has a hard mode.

This, plus about a minute for the shock to subside, was followed by raucous laughter, further enhanced by the second quest code.

Probably not the best thing to watch when it's a quarter of 3 in the am and others are trying to sleep.

I'd tip my hat to you if I ever wore one, so I'll instead conclude with: Bravo, good sir, bravo.
