I remember seeing this game way back in 2007, and then looking forward to it so much. 2 years later, all the hype has worn off, and now I'm not sure if I'm even going to get it. Might rent it.

Why does no one (except Bennet) even mention inFamous???
These 2 are begging for a comparison... And even that pony pic of Mercer is from their rivalry...

And in the end, after playing Prototype, I found it really fun, but inFamous had the overall better design of everything (Powers, not-too-cliche story, more lively city)

So, Lee, if you haven't played inFamous - go check it out...

Because bennet has a PS3 but I'm not certain about Lee because I don't think he's ever reviewed a game for it. Same goes for Joe but I'm not sure. Besides the games look similar in play but work differently. I don't think they are as much alike as some people make them out to be.

Great review Lee. As for comparing this to inFamous, forget it. They're different games. Both great, but completely different. About the only common things in both are super powers and a city to use them in, ie., pretty much like any similar games.

Comparisons are for butt-hurt console fanboys that wish desperately for more people to agree with them that their favorite is "better".

I say play them both and enjoy.

I had Linkara's cameo done in late June. I was hoping to release this episode around that time, but two other reviews of Prototype were coming out so I held onto it for a few more weeks.

Awesome video!

I thought Alex actually sounded pretty angry... though it was funny, because I find rage hilarious.

I especially love when he kills the boss and just yells out what everyone else who ever played the game thought: "GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENE!"

Which is still more emotional than whatever that piece of wood Bale was trying to do as Batman, but I disgress.

The graphics aren't that bad, it's a fun game, you did a great review with plenty humor, great work.

Edit: The story's pretty good, if you give a damn about stories in games. Which I do.

Ah come on, Lee. Conspiracy storylines can be fun. What about the Metal Gear Solid series? I'm sure that the story in MGS is better than the one in Prototype though, so I'll give ya a pass on that one.
