Video was basic Still gaming quality. I hope that some day you can make video without slide show while you talk. It would be nice to see more moving picture in them and not just in game footage.
The slide show element is what makes his videos unique though and I'm assuming that's why he goes that route. If he dropped that his videos would loose that vibe. Personally, it's one of the reasons why I enjoy watching his videos because the slide show is different then how others present reviews and makes it fun to watch.

Yes the game does have it's flaws, but it isn't quite as bad as you make it out to be. It is fun. Also there are some extremely talented people at making the Created content so that adds to it. Yes it does have QTE and that is kind of a pain, but it is still an enjoyable game. I give it about an 8/10.

I was enjoying this video, I sometimes watch your reviews and I've started to like them but..this 1 was really insulting. The way you trashed the Ultimate Warrior. what a blatant disrespect to his fans. :( cmon even if you dont like him that was just poor taste no class. I dont think im ever going to watch your videos again.
-
How can you bitch about the Warrior's fans, when the Warrior himself spit in all their faces? Considering the fact he refused to perform unless he would be paid more money. He would basically blackmail the WWE showing that he cared much more about money then fans like YOU! So don't pull the "show some class" card for someone who is a piece of shit. Warrior dug his own grave, and there is no longer a respectable bone in his body.

Thats what Vince wants you believe and the worse part is you bought it. Like a sheep you believe whatever they tell you to believe to protect Vince's ego.The WWE produced Warrior DVD couldnt have been further from the truth or a bigger attempt to manipulation Warrior's fans.Thats why he sued them for false accusations. They sabotaged his entire career and livlihood, and they tried to cover it up saying it was his own fault. Thats the biggest bunch of BS and youeat it up like its candy.

Here's the facts: Warrior Helwig (the man changed his name to keep using it) is a schmuck. He hasn't evolved, he simply is the same person he was 25 years ago. He's also a deplorable human being (look up some of his quotes). As a wrestler, he was atrocious, as a person he's awful, and doesn't deserve any respect at all.

I really have to wonder what the hell some of you guys are thinking when you say "it's not that bad". Legends has managed to make the SvR games look like The Orange Box. I ended up exchanging the PS3 version for the 360 version on the advice from several people, but the minor improvements made the game only slightly less painful.
This ended up being complete trash. The character models look worse than those hideous "realistic" wrestling figures they have been making. I also agree quick-time events have absolutely no place in this genre, in actuality they shouldn't be used at all. Taking the performance of moves out of the hands of the player is an absolutely retarded idea. When you have extremely mediocre graphics, the last thing a developer should do is force attention on their visuals.
I know a lot of people will argue that the Smackdown games for the PSone
were the last great wrestling games, but I think the genre died on the N64. To this day no wrestling games has topped the excellence of No Mercy, Wrestlemania 2000, WCW:Revenge, or WCW Vs NWO.

I haven't played this one yet. I don't think I would buy it. It just screams rental.
However, this doesn't look half as shitty as the Legends of Wrestling series that Acclaim released a few years back. Those games were shit and gliched so bad that I thought my Xbox was broken. Really. The game would constantly freeze at the friggin character selection screen.
It turned out that the developers knew about the severe game gliches but relased them anyway, just so they could rush them out into the market.
So this can't possibly be as bad as those titles. Trust me I know. I bought two of them.

I never thought I'd see a Vince Russo reference on TGWTG. F' That guy.
Not that I know who he is, or anything >_>
-
Man you really nailed it. That game sucks, it's awful compared to THQ's other game Smackdown vs. Raw 09. I highly recommend It over Legends, much much better control scheme and it has the same great create a wrestler mode so you can just put in the legends you want anyway, they're all over the web.
-
Smackdown being the last "Great" Game? Gah. That's moronic. SD!2:KYR was much better. SDv.R 2007 was an infinitely more engaging game.
Anyway, anything that per ports to have Wrestlemania documented, then leaves out Savage, Steamboat and Sid, doesn't. As the video notes, Savage main evented 2 wrestlemanias, participated in several more, stole the show at one with Steamboat. Sid also headlined two wrestlemanias.
Then including guys like Hacksaw Jim Duggan (only at 3 or 4 of them, never sniffing a Main Event), Double A (I love the man, but face it: not at Wrestlemania, Save it for Legends of Starcade), Koko B. Ware and BRUTUS BEEFCAKE, who's biggest success is suckling at Hogan's teet his entire life, well it's just foolish.
I use to work in the industry, I love the business, but as usual, this is regular ol' Vince Revisionism. HIS people get in, no one else.
And Vince Russo didn't kill anything. He was a fantastically creative guy who had a good editing team in the WWE, and nothing could save the sinking ship of WCW. He had a simple lack of oversight, which is the fault of Turner Management. As RD Reynolds and Brian Alverez point out in "The Death of WCW", the collapse of that organization wasn't because of anything in the ring. It was because a smarmy little TV executive wanted a different audience for AOL/TW networks. That's it.

I was pretty disappointed becuase a few days ago I went back and looked at Wrestlemania 3, Hulk VS Andre. I was really disappointed htat it was no where near as glamrous as I remember it. I'm not sure at which point in Andre the Giant's life that was, but he looke really out of it, like he was on his last legs.

Things that ruined wrestling according to Lee...
Russo, Vinnie Mac, Russo, Steroids, Russo...
I lawl'd hard at that part! Russo single handily KILLED WCW and is trying to kill TNA and the moment. I hate him so much!
WrestleMania 25 was DAMN GOOD though! HBK vs Undertaker for MATCH OF THE YEAR!

Let's not blame Russo entirely for the downfall of WCW. There is a lot to blame for that.

04.05.2009 - 19:58 | AltorinYeah... I was actually excited by the first half of the review... then ridiculously disappointed at the end...
I'm just the sort of wrestling fan this game is trying to reach.. That was my era.. Kamala was definitely a wrestler I wasn't expecting to see a snippet of, and I was impressed that he was there..
then you mention the gameplay, and I'm crestfallen.
Oh well.. it could have been awesome.
and nice Bam Bam Biggalo reference, from one retro-wrestling fan to another
Edit: Thanks for the fix. I played the demo for this game and I didn't like the controls either, especially the quick time events. It didn't feel like a wrestling game to me.
