People may be saying that Zee is being cranky or short.
Rather I believe she is a trained professional who is on a short filming schedule and she's trying to train someone with no professional acting experience on the spot right then and there.
They may be friends IRL (only guessing here), but she has to put on her game face and be a bit stern so Lee takes it all seriously.
At least this is my hypothesis as to why Zee looks "tougher" than she normally appears in her films/clips/etc.
Personally I think it's cool to see the more "real" side of things.

Wow, that was... serious. I guess one always expects the behind-the-scenes to be full of joking around and laughing... which is probably a misconception I guess. The only touch of lightness comes from Lee's comments and the chuckling of the camera lady (who seems fun to work with!). On the other hand LMG was almost deadpan when she wasn't actively acting (which is likely just her concentrating on her work, of course).
Also props to Lee for handling all that directing at the end there with grace and aplomb... they were REALLY laying into him at that point, I thought... or maybe I'm just not used to the film-making atmosphere :)

Hello,
At no point were Chad & Z ever frustrated with my acting. Z said that I was fully committed to the role. They fully understood that it was my first ever attempt at live action acting, and that I was not given a script until an hour before we filmed, leaving me no time to prepare. I am very glad they gave me a lot of constructive help on my first performance, as it will only serve to help me learn how to effectively act.
I know that I still slowed down the whole process due to being a complete newbie, but after the first scene, everything else felt natural and was easy.
I had two goals for this episode: 1) Sell a lot of copies of Psychonauts, and 2) Positive feedback from fans that determined we worked well together. I don't know if anyone went out and bought Psychonauts (which is $10 on Steam, by the way!), but pretty much everyone said we were a great duo. Filming with Z was one of the top moments of my entire life, and I hope we can at least produce two or three videos per year together.
We'll be talking about this more in Lee & Z Episode 11!

"Too gentle, stupid!" :)
It was really interesting to see the contrast in professional skill. I was getting the impression that Z was slowly but steadily losing a bit of patience with Lee with each take, but kudos to you both for not getting too frustrated, and keeping your cool. I guess it just goes to show that producing internet videos is actual /work/.
You two do seem to work well together though; the finished review was fun to watch, and everything seemed natural, despite the difference in skill and experience apparent in this BtS video.
I like the current format of Lee's still-screen reviews (that style seems to be pretty much /iconic/ of Lee, to me personally), but any thoughts on doing any other live-action appearances now that you've got this experience under your belt?
EDIT: Though most surprising of all to me - apparently Little Miss Gamer is a *character*; go figure! I was not expecting Serious And Professional Z(tm) at /all/. But isn't she an actual, professional actress in the "real world" anyway?
