Glad to know that I wasn't the only one who was scared of these pink pixels. :D But it was in the years when it just was released. Shit was so cash, I want ot play it now, but I think that I'll be even worse gamer. :P
Anyway, thanks Lee for a very entertaining review. :D
Are you going to do Supaplex some time? I always got stuck around level 111. :P

I recall playing doom, it always pissed me off when that ending happened, it seemed like I lost and did it wrong some way but when I played it again and actually could read some English I understood that was the end. It really is a good game and it actually goes pretty well even if you can't look up or down, people should give this game a chance. Oh and Lee, if you are wondering about doom 2 it is like 30 levels (i even think it came with expansion so it was total of 50 levels), PACKED with secrets including special stages from Wolfenstein and you get to see Hitler and Jesus head! Its really hard and if you thought those to bosses at the end was hard, don't ever pick up Doom 2.
Anyways I always wanted to play chapter 2-4 but never got to play it (call 666-D00M!!MF *sarcastic voice*), and its bad also because I don't have a X-box 360 and if i could I would buy a PS3.

While i love some modern FPS' like Bioshock, Half Life 2 and the like it's the old skool games like this, Duke Nukem 3D and Quake 2 that are the real Kings of the genre, just one bloke against the massive hordes and hugely overpowered weapons :D
Good Let's Play Lee, you have to be perticularly good at what you do to pull off a Let's Play, not everyone can do it but you certainly pulled it off. I perticularly liked you panicking even though you had over 100% health and armour!
Though despite the fact i enjoyed this i don't thnk you should be in too much of a hurry to make more, this should be a rare occurence as i beleive your main show is a much better concept than a Let's Play

Jesus's head? One of the designer's head, yes, but you have to be cheating to see that, on the final level...which you'd really want to be cheating at if you want to win.
And yeah, awesome score, especially for this level.

Well, actually the last level seemed to take an eternity, I was playing the level for an half hour and the same spawns were spawning over and over. (ammo also went out) So first I searched every wall over and over and nothing. So my last resort was using noclip and then I found what seemed like Jesus head, clicked it out of curiosity and won. I didn't actually think I should have won by clicking it and have no save file since start of that level so I went along with it.
Also, I really think I had a expansion because I'm really sure I went over 40 levels, as you can see on the wikipedia about Doom 2 the expansion contained 21 maps. Or something, it was just so long ago since I played it that I can't remember.
Anyway, cloud8745 has posted a walktrough on viddler about the game, hes really funny Walktrough guy, you should check him out:

Ya,about the multiplayer, I have been a few years back a doomer, so I often went nuts when you wouldn't just shot the right barrel, lol.
But on the other side, there is an ample multiplayer and hundreds of new levels to be played, created by fans. Just to star with, try www.zdoom.org (if it's still there). The bad part: it is PC, the good part, many programmers have worked their version of an exe to be able to play the old games with the new ones.
PLus there is multiplayer programms too, but it is horribly complicated just to play, since it is an open source everyone changes his level and you ahve to re-download the same game 500 times, but it can be fun. Obviously this is just a comment, so it won't go in details.
I'll just end with: great little play and everyone should check out doom 1 and 2 for the PC. They are just classics!*whoops, the above emntioned the skulltag,. yeah!*

Ah doom... one of the great games. Also one of the most difficult FPS' in the world (I'm including Doom 2 in this with the Pain Elementals and Arch Viles). Great play through though. Also, the first game to incorporate a z axis (the ability to look up or down) was Heretic by Raven. It used the same game engine as Doom, and was an AMAZING game

I'm not sure what difficulty you launched on, but if they didn't change it for the Live version, Ultra Violence has the same monster count as Nightmare...only without monster respawning.
I think I remember mouse sensitivity being adjustable in DOS Doom.
If you want a bigger community, try the ZDaemon or ZDoom launchers for Windows. There's other utilities, but those are the two I use now and then.

Hey Lee, I loved watching all your videos; they were pretty hilarious. Although I know pretty much every nook and cranny about the first three episode (never cared about the fourth), it was a refreshing reminder of what being totally in the dark about what's coming next is like -- although when the occasional megawad comes out, I get that feeling too.
Additionally, I did find it amusing whenever you were meeting the "hordes" of monsters, because over the course of 15 years, the idea of what constitutes as a "horde" has changed, and a mere 20-30 monsters no longer counts to experienced players (no offense) :P

I've enjoyed watching that!
Does it annoy you in any way that you can't aim up or down?
