I really liked this game when I got my hands on it long ago. The only thing that still makes me curious to this day is why they mixed characters from Darkstalker in it.

yeah! me and my friend used to play this all the time on the playstation. And now, years later, i bought it on psn and it is still so much fun to play, especially in multiplayer.

06.21.2009 - 01:29 | Richard WeskerThe closest thing I've ever played to this was Puzzle Kombat, an extra game that was in Mortal Kombat: Deception. It was pretty decent.
Also, Capcom is notorious for milking the shit out of everything they do. This really is the most useless "upgrade" to a game I have ever seen.

06.21.2009 - 07:05 | DaniusKangI used to spend all my time playing this game, until I realized that you can easily beat it by just randomly tossing all your gems to one side, and letting nature take its course. Which is knida what the computer seemed to do on the GBA.

Ever since I downloaded this to my PS3 last year, I find my sister bursting into my room at 3am shouting "LET'S PLAY PUZZLE FIIIGHTEEER!" quite frequently.....

The retooled version of X has most characters sending new block patterns so that Ken and Donovan aren't the only characters you'll want to play as if you don't want to be very easily countered.
But yes, I love this game.
