Yay for a new PABAC! But... why cats? I've always wondered that.Most of these pixels are more ladybug-sized if you ask me.

I think the Atari was pretty much on life support by the time it came out, so a lot of people missed out.
But I point out that game whenever people don't get what's wrong with Pac-Man.
Come to think of it, you just gave me an idea for an episode ^.^

Have you ever seen the hack of Ms PacMan to make a much closer PacMan for the 2600?

Here's a vid of it.

Death animation seems kind of odd but it seems pretty nice.

I remember playing hours of Pac-Man and Pac-Man jr. Having never really gone to arcades and being low income, we got in on Atari probably toward the end of it's life when it was affordable to us. But it was great and it did what it was supposed to. It entertained us. Pac-man was a great game in any format. This may have been its' worst incarnation but even then... what can I say? It was what it was.
There was a game on it just called "Skiing" and that was a lame game.

This originally was on her Youtube channel, so it's not entirely new.
I would've gone with "Pac-Man Fever" at the end, but that's just me.

Agreed, and it was quite short. More of a quick story about growing up playing Pac Man for the 2600. Not my favorite video by far, but an interesting stroll down memory lane.

This really isn't a review--the description was written by Lee and I didn't catch that he used the word "review".
Really, I don't consider ANY of my videos to be reviews--they're pretty much all retrospectives to some degree.

So the real question is, what are your thoughts on Pac Man Championship Edition?

I remember playing that at night along with Mario Bros and it was fun....before I discovered the arcade version that is.

Obligatory long cat is long lolcatz meme explanation for title.
Or the huge cat is huge meme as well.

@Randomduded
I think the line might be from Sealab 2021. Captain Murphy thinks a dying child named Griff has the plague, and at one point randomly blurts out
"I'll bet your lymph nodes are as big as cats!"
Not unlike the Spoony one's moniker comes from an obscure Final Fantasy game (well, as obscure as they can be)"He has escaped, through the hole!"
"Yes, through the ho- MY BANANA!!!"

Congrats, you're the first person to figure that out XDIt was also partly inspired by a magazine article on video games where someone described Adventure (also Atari 2600) as having "pixels as big as dimes".

@Cybor
....sarcasm?
Anywho, Lee's a lucky man to have found a chick with an interest in Sealab
"He has escaped, through the hole!"
"Yes, through the ho- MY BANANA!!!"

Nope, I was being serious. Most people don't mention the title and the few who do are asking what it means.

It's Sealab 2021, isn't it? I remember Murphy saying that something was "as big as CATS!" The way he said "cats" was hilarious.
EDIT: Damn; it looks like WristWatchMafia beat me by just five minutes.

Ahh, this game. It was one of my first, as well. (Well, not /mine/, but my parents'). Sure, it's a horrible port of Pac-Man, but back then, *I* certainly didn't care. It was still fun.. back then.
I also actually /liked/ ET. Yes, it also has its problems, as every single person on the internet is more than eager to point out, but to a little kid, the flaws don't matter.
It's nice to see a somewhat /positive/ review of this game, for /once/. You're not nitpicking the absurd graphics, the replacement of the fruits with a generic square (a "vitamin", I seem to remember it being called), the constantly flickering ghosts, and the ridiculous sound (which even to this day is still occasionally used in TV shows as "videogame noises".)
No, this review focused on your impressions back /then/, and helped me remember my own happy memories of playing this game and others like it. So thanks for that.

The ghosts flicker so much that if you don't record at high enough FPS two of them won't show up in the video.
Learned that the hard way.

But...But it's PAC-MAN!
I think this was one of the first games I've ever played too, Dena. Ahh the Atari...I used to play this and Pitfall. I tried playing this "3D Pac Man" on the Genesis. Just wasn't the same either.
I think it was called Pac-mania or something. Can someone correct me if I am wrong. There's just been so many Pac games.

I used to play the hell out of this game and Space Invaders. Back when I didn't have a console of my own. Back when my aunty really dreaded seeing me come to her home...

@WristWatchMafia
I was actually parodying anyone who seriously thought those explanations with the "obligatory" I added. Thanks for the actual reference, though.

I played pacman for the atari 2600 when I was 4, it's one of my earliest memories and the only game I could play back then and last more than a minute. I actually know the sound effects from that version of the game more than the arcade one, in fact when I played the genesis port of the arcade version years later my mind was blown.
