I gotta say that sailor costume is pretty weird but the powers she has with it pack a big punch.

It's definitely fun to mess with.

The Heather beam was cool, and very good at getting revenge.

Yeah, Silent Hill 3 sure did slather on the extra stuff and easter eggs, didn't it? I also thought that, overall, it had the best sense of humor of the series, although I don't think anything will ever top Silent Hill 2's Dog ending.

A nice wrap-up to Silent Hill 3. Well done!

should of went further into detail with valtiel, like with his seal of metatron tattooes. Or the fact that not only is he there to watch over heather, but to also prepare the world for god. Thats why you see him scraping (cleaning) nurses up agains that grate wall in the alternate church. Or why hes always turning pipes. (supposidly fine tuning them)

Or how the god has alessas face. Or the highly debated ending of what heather actually sees when she looks over her shoulder after killing the god.

Just could of been more. :(

This is one point in the game that, I suppose, could be wildly open to interpretation. I actually would have loved to have heard Dena's thoughts on this, but she did say that she purposefully left out some big things, and this
may have been one of them.

I talk about the aspects that I WANT to cover--everything else people need to find out themselves when they play the game, or else they can do the research. If I covered every little detail of every Silent Hill game, I may as well toss out the idea of ever talking about any other games because that's all I'd ever have time for.

god has alessa's face because claudia idolised alessa and god used claudia's body to gestate so it could have used some of her thoughts before killing her(this might mean that if heather birthed god it could have harry's face because in the end heather was only thinking about harry and revenge),also because claudia and alessa were friends in school because they both had abusive parents (Dahlia and Leonard) and seeked comfort in each other. But thats just my opinion.

Its an entirely good review of Silent Hill 3. Yeah, you really didn't spoiled much here but that's really okay. We really have to see the game on our own, I guess :D

yeh - Too bad it will take a year - It is one year before I will find any reasons to play the damned thing. It HAS cool stuff, but the uncool stuff (mainly control... and ghosts... and the hecking control once more!) make me really not want to play it. - Mostly I would be happy if there was no forced "2D control" scheme - It really sucks the feeling of control, when character sometimes just does not turn. And It is still unclear to me how it saves, does it save automatically? Mine were nowhere when I tried to continue after returning to room.

To me, I can see why the room was the downfall, it seems to have interesting story, but behind it I want to hear the story of developers' "how we pootched the control this bad" -story

Just so You know Silent Hill 4: The Room is based on a true story. There actually was an incident where the ghost of Mitch Hedberg trapped Dimitri Martin in his apartment for five days.

Could have been inspired by that story, but it's inspired by other things as well.

I've never heard of that, tho--I'll have to remember to look it up when the time comes.

It seems the developers went a little crazy putting in crazyass special weapons and outfits in this game. Put Heather in that girly outfit, and it's like putting a Powerpuff Girl in a Castlevania game.

But eyeshot. for some odd reason that sounds cool. hmm powerpuff girls in castlevania would be so cool. and man i love these reviews. grr. only if i had enough money for a ps2. i am working on it. i did play a bit of silent hill one and watched some gameplay of silent hill 2. but sadly no ps2. and out of all the games 3 does look like the one i would like to play more.

Heather's sailor suit costume is a riot. If you hold down the attack button, she shoots eye lasers. They tire her out really quickly, but they hit like a truck.

Thanks for the Silent Hill stuff. These videos have been some of my favourite work from this site.

Yeah running around as Sailor Heather with a lightsaber is just awesome, though the play through like that obviously will change the 'atmosfear' feel. Just like DOUGLAS IN HIS BOXERS!!! YOU WILL NEVER FORGET IT!

I find the Sailor Heather outfit to be quite entertaining. When I first saw the word 'sailor' in the comments, I was worried that it would be a sailor suit as in the normal junior high school girl's school uniform in Japan. Somehow the Sailor Moon reference isn't quite as scary to me.

Ah, all good things must come to an end...

First off, Dena, thanks for doing this series of vids on my favourite Silent Hill game. For me, Silent Hill will always be about a father's desperate search for his daughter in a fog-haunted town and her return there 17 years later.

Nothing much else to add, only that Silent Hill 3 was the first game I've played that made me work extra hard for the fucked-up ending. THAT was weird. Probably this is something you left out on purpose so I'm not going into details.

Kinda disappointed that the UFO ending didn't make an appearance, mostly because I love that damn song.

Also, were there more than 3 endings, because that's all I ever got.

That guy creeped me out to no end the first time through. It was so awkward.
But I had no idea those were the bodies of Alessa and... well, the other one, I forgot the name.
