That's awesome. I don't have a PS3 (and I own the original copy of Silent Hill besides =P), but anything that allows more people to play the original is a good thing in my book.

Plenty of people I know pick SH 2 as their favourite but I just couldn't wrap my head around having played a wife murderer.

SH 3's still the best for me 'cos it's a direct sequel and improvement to SH 1 which I LOE so much.

My favorite in the series, and I wish they'd bring Heather back. Or better yet her daughter! But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I love how this is a sequel to the first game, but the remake on Wii & PS2 is starting to worry me as the release date edges closer. Not to mention that a new movie is being made.

Oh I love SH3, I beat it the first time in one run because I wanted to see if my theory on who the main character was correct and after that I needed to find out what happened. I was really happy for a direct sequel to 1's events.
SH4 I actually ended up setting down for a long period before I came back and finished it though. Think I got irritated at a part of escorting Eileen around.
Totally agree about the Subway in this one, it's the part that always annoyed me somewhat.
And that mirror part is so awesome!

Hey, great episode. It's wierd how you said that Silent Hill 1 is expensive because in the UK it's only £10-15. I've been waiting for this episode for a long time. When can we expect the next part? Next week or something?

I dont know if its just halloween time or what but ive been getting back into the silent hill mood. I'm thinking about grabbing all my copies (1-4, origins and homecoming dont count because i personally dont consider them silent hill games >.>) and playing through them.

For how much love this series gets I still dont understand why konami thought itd be a good idea to hand the franchise over to a western developer. I'm still fuming at the thought of 'Shattered Memories'. Harry gets an iphone, dahlia gets turned into an emo teen... wtf? Well, I guess if they redo SH1 where it takes place in 2009 instead of the late 70s/early 80s they might as well tackle SH3 next, where heather can drive to silent hill in a 2016 toyota prius that drives on pixy dust and happy thoughts... now im just ranting...

I'm waiting till Halloween when there releasing a remake of Silent Hill one on the Wii (for the win!) with some up grades, like the games ability to find what you fear most.

I played the PC version and I stopped for whatever reason and quite frankly still haven't gone back. At this point I'd have to start all over if I go dig it out of my pc games box. Which is to say Bye I've got to go find my pc games box .

Ah, Silent Hill 3. This one was my favorite of the lot. I love this game.

Silent hill 3 was a game I'll never forget especially the scares in different rooms such as the mirror scare where the walls are bleeding and everything but the mirror goes black.

I loved Silent Hill 1. Since i only had a ps1 when SH2 came out, thats the one i played more often. Then I got a ps2 and loved SH2 also.

I 'played' Silent Hill 3 through a let's play, and it made me want to play it more ^^ I only wish I had bought Silent Hill 2 instead of renting it... it really was a good game.

I'd recommend anyone who hasn't played it and doesn't have a lot of time to watch Let's Plays (of all the Silent Hill games). You can still get a lot out of the Silent Hill games this way. I recommend L0rdVega for 1-3 and MangaMinx for 4.

You have NO idea how much I've been dying to play these games! That's why I'm excited for the Wii game to come out next month. My only hope aside from that is to figure out how to use emulators on my PC, which is broken at the moment... *sob*

And also, I love Heather too. She always said the right things at the right time... Harry would be proud!

i thk ill always like SH1 the most,,i beat it when it was the only SH out the whole story had me thinking constantly it was amazing,,i had to beat a few times on hard before i got tired of it
if your a SH fan u have to check out the original if you havnt already,,just going around and exploring the towns was so awsome
