That looks like an awesome platformer, so would tear things up with King Kong.

Good episode, but using bullets as currency isn't normal?

No better Currency in the world I'd say.

I'm reminded of the adventure mode from Smash Bros.
Great video. Still werid to see Simon, Kong and Micky from the Goonies together.
By the way, I just saw a Colbert Report where he suggested using Bullets as currency last week. This Game must take place in the future.

BULLETS FOR CURRENCY??? :0 OMG! I wish I knew of that sooner... (laughs) oh that would have been CLASSIC for this video!

    Leave it to Colbert.

damn I wanna play this SUPER bad just because Mikey is in it, I watched Goonies HUNDREDS of times as a kid. Pure nostalgia to me.

    anyway great vid!

This game looks pure awsome... Going to need to look it up...

Also the new song that starts is awsome. Alot more ambient and nice sounding...

Glad you like it. It's done by a gentleman who lives in Japan. How fitting, right?

And I forgot to put in the credits the "to wrap things up" theme too.

That was done by our very own "Skitch".

Game looks pretty cool, I may check it out sometime.

Lookin forward to your next review holmes

Hmm Interesting game, JewWario. Looks like a lot of fun and I am looking forward to season three. Are you going to take on Doshin the Giant if you can find it?

Am trying to think of what other Japanese games people can play. Tis hard since I don't know many. Oh wait! I got it!

That new Chibi Robo game that came out on the DS and so far is Japan only. People have imported it and said it's fun to play. Why it wasn't translated, I don't know.

  • JewWario
    avatar

Oof... if I can find it. I'd LOVE to do Doshin the Giant.

Chibi Robo DS game? Maybe... I mean other Chibi Robo games have come out in the US... but maybe as a Quickie. Good thought.

    God, Crazy Racers.

The theme song of this game will never leave me.

Hi Jew Wario, love your show!
One of my favorite series is about to get a new installment, Samurai Warriors 3,
and it was announced that the game would have a new mode based entirely on the
Famicom Disk System classic Nazo no Murasamejo, a game I've always wanted to
try. Could you review that someday?

(I had actually posted the same comment on your previous video today, but since this video came out on the same day, I hope you don't mind me reposting this.)

I really love this game back then, its one of my favorite Famicom games :D

It would be great if Konami would revive the Wai Wai World game and from there they would showcase all recent new generation Konami characters.. and also the old ones :D I could only imagine if they could combine...

    Silent Hill
    Metal Gear Solid
    Suikoden
    Castlevania
    Contra
    Gradius
    Twinbee
    or even Yu-Gi-Oh!
    and many more!

Well... I could only imagine though

Great video Jewwario :) Really love all of these japanese games, jewels hidden everywhere!

Anyway, while I do enjoy the new intro and outro... I do miss the old one, since it kinda grew onto me.

Entertaining as always, I definitely will have to see if I can get my hands on this one, it really looks fun and innovative.

I personally hope to see some dungeon crawler games (Wizardry style) to be shown in your future videos. According to what I seen and heard of, the japanese audience got more of these treasures than us, making me kind of jealous. :D

Great review as always, although I don't collect any games I'll be sure to try it on an emulator some time soon.
What was that 8-bit music that was playing while giving the "score" (Audienc, playability etc.) ?

  • JewWario
    avatar

Yeah, I forgot to credit the artist. It's our own 'Skitch' who does 8-bit music, and he did that for me.

  • Xane
    avatar

Well, since I recently got into the Castlevania franchise, i might keep a look out for this.

Jew Wario seeing you understand Japanese do understand more when you see it written or spoken?

What Atemu going do in that game, throw his cards at Pyramid head?! unless you he could mind crush them.

Unfortunately I understand more written than I do spoken. I have been practicing more since I started this series and so am working on boosting my comprehension again.

It's odd Solid Snake didn't make an appearance in Wai Wai World, I take it this came out before Metal Gear?

But the recent Track and Field game had starred all the Konami characters (minus Konami man now) but it also had recent characters like Pyramid Head, Sparkster and Reiko from Rumble Roses.

  • Madpotator
    avatar

Great review and that really looks like a great game for Konami fans, and for others too. If I ever happen to buy a Famicom somewhere, I'll hunt this game down. ;)

Oh, and I find Vocaloid songs creepy. :(

Cool episode, I'll probably get this game sometime. By the way, I have Konami Krazy Racers. :o

  • Powerfrog  - :O

Pause at exactly 6:39. "Media offline kkrbox" After some research (google) i found that kkrbox = an image of konami krazy racers. Which was disapointing. But yeah! I found it! ... Man i'm boring.

  • JewWario
    avatar

Yeah... unfortunately a mistake on my computer. A split second error. Ah well.

  • VengefulRonin

Oh man, I used to have Krazy Racers! I loved the hell out of that game, it was a really solid kart racer. You should review that sometime, if you wanna keep doing Konami crossover games.

Great video Jew Wario as always. Keep them coming, i enjoy seeing the famicom games, perhaps ill go and pick up one of my own and play along!

In the beginning...did you threaten me to "Take it easy"? o_o

Speaking of Touhou, there's got to be a million different curtain shooters that people can import that were obviously not released here. Ever plan on making a list of personal suggestions?

  • Whyerd_Neighme

Jew Wario, your reviews are awesome. Though not the funniest person on the site, I like how you present your reviews. They're informative and want to make me pick up both a NES and Fam Com.

This game kinda makes me think of Super Smash Bros., as the license just brings in a bunch of characters. Kinda cool that it was made with effort, not just thrown together to make a quick buck. I want to try it, though I'm too lazy to find both the Fam Com and game.

I can't wait for next season, and would think it would be awesome if you show case other games for other old school consoles, like the SNES and Genesis.
