Good vid. I always like finding out about games I would otherwise never know about.

Great episode! These kinds of games hold my interest up until I get lost maybe the 2nd or 3rd time, then my frustration rises rapidly...guess I just don't have patience for games like I used to =)

I think you maintain your title as the most professional reviewer on this website. As for games, I discovered a Resident Evil clone game for the Sega Saturn. It's not the best game I've played, but all of the cutsenes are in english.
It's called Deep Fear, and I would like to see a review.

It never gets tiring of learning about good games.
Oh, and its a dungeon crawler? A dungeon crawler WITH mini games? Dang, I'm in! Dungeon crawlers are getting too rare these days and now that Wizardry doesn't get new games (the japanese audience really got spoiled compared to us) there is very few titles that satisfy my hunger for these games.

I'm addicted to these episodes, and I'm not even a gamer!
That's just how good these eps are.

Reviews like this make me wish I had a Famicom. Excellent as usual. And yay for the kitty!

I like games like this usually, but i always hate limits, so the heart system would be pretty annoying to me.
Also...
You totally got either Mother 3, a sequel to Dai Meiro, or another KITTY

Losing energy every time you move...
It reminds me of ET! I'm sure this game is far better, but isn't this concept a little too frustrating and unforgiving?

KITTY!
Another fine review. Since you've already done SRT, and they brought over Megaman & Bass, I don't really know of any Japanese games I'd like to see reviewed.

While I got to admit that you sell this game (as in promoting) quite well, I am sadly yet to argue with your point that it will find it's liking for everyone.
Speaking only for myself here, I am not patient enough to really give a dungeon-crawler much of my time as I get lost rather easily while playing this type of games.
Still, you showed up quite a good ammount of extras in this game and I guess if people can get to peace with the gameplay it is a fun time to be had.
One thing that confused me tho, at the end when you rate the game in single aspects you tended to write up things that didn't quite match what you were saying there.
Replayablity

Spoken: You can play this game definitly again and againMaybe it's just personal misunderstanding tho, I admit I am not the best to get everything at the first time I hear or read it. ^^;
Bottomline: I am glad you make videos of such exotic titles nonetheless, as it really helps getting to know a few classics and in general what we missed growing up or before we even were on the plan :p
Good work overall, mate. ^^

Dude, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the nesreproductions you constantly swear by kind of... well, sucks. the guy who runs the site promised me an order, i paid him, and never got my game.
gamereproductions is much, much better.

I saw your review, I tried the game and I love it (although I am not so much a gamer that plays puzzle games). Nearly played it trough from the lowest difficulty to the highest (maybe two dungeons left to go).
At first I thought I would hate the fact to loose those hearts and die in those mazes but now I know it wouldn't be as interesting as it is without it. Thats where the minigames become very important for the survival. Ok if you're drawing your own maps then the minigames probably aren't that crucial but I was too lazy to do that.

Actually I'm wondering if your going to do games from any other systems. Like the Master System perhaps?

Hey I love your show! Your friendly personality and demeanour are really great. It's really fun to hear about all these games I never knew existed. I've only played one series that was imported and I don't know if it's old school enough (the Game Cube has been discontinued so that makes it old school, right?). It's Naruto Dakitou Ninjiyatarisen, it's the best fighter game I've ever played and the fourth was the best as it had the largest roster. They translated all the other games before that one for the Game Cube so many can still be found here in the states but I don't think they ever translated the fourth (they may have for the Wii, but I've never tried that version). The menus and set up can be a little tricky, but they have a lot of pictures and me and my friend (who knew little to no Japanese) were able to get it all set up to our liking. The game play is just awesome, and was what got me interested in the show and manga. Fan of Naruto who prefer the Japanese voices will really dig this game as well as any other fans of fighting games.

Guys, the thing he got at the end there isn't going to be "Mother," or any other story-driven Japanese RPG import, as it flies in the face of everything this series is built around. JewWario had severe issues with the last episode he posted, and that was a FIGHTING GAME.
