Sephiroth? Well, seeing how people knows very little about old school RPGs, japanese only till' released later games and such, he deserves no place in no list. He's not badass, that role was stolen away from Auron. His little katana play toy is not as if the weapon was never seen. He's mentally ill and is one of the most unsuccessful villains of the series. Kefka, Exdeath, The duke of Jeuno, Vormav and so on have reached more success and "evilness" that surpasses him.

Oh come on guys (commenters), Sephiroth is super deserving of being on this list. It's rather stupid logic to say that there are other villains who did more dastardly things than Sephiroth. All one would have to do by that logic is look at a game plot, see the villain, and then re-write it by adding a few more deaths to their villain. That just doesn't make sense.
Sephiroth was an epic villain to a vast amount of gamers. Say what you want and make fun of Aeris' death and how overly popular the game is, but that doesn't change the fact that the game is so popular for a REASON. It was a GREAT game, and it had GREAT characters. Sephiroth is one of the best villains of all time, hands down.

We're just saying "There's better" and Final Fantasy VI (which Kefka hails from) is one such game.
FFVII got lots of fame from being the first of the series to reach the 3D realm, but look at the cutscenes. I'm not saying they didn't do the best they had with what they had, and Nobuo Uematsu did a masterful job on the music... but the plot is actually a little hard to follow in some of its finer points and it's a confusing, disjointed mess your first play through.
FFVI was consistent and entertaining in plot, music, characterization, main villain, etc. Kefka hailed from a game that's actually, in my opinion, better than FFVII.
I seriously don't like psychological villains. Oooh save me, the man with the mama's boy complex is out to get me! Nuuu!
I'd be far more terrified with a sadistic clown who backs up his words with action.
Now, I actually don't think that Sephiroth is any harder to beat than Kefka, but you can much easier own Sephiroth, given the right Materia... he's a bigger threat as an optional boss in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2

"Sephiroth is super deserving of being on this list. It's rather stupid logic to say that there are other villains who did more dastardly things than Sephiroth."
Kefka destroyed the world. He poisoned a river, making many innocent people die. He has no respect for life whatsoever. The guy himself is also presented really well.
Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious Kefka wins. That was the only lesser point in this toplist, I believe, but at least the entertaining documentary more than made up for it.

You can sort of tell that this is one of Wez and Larry's earlier vids; to me, it doesn't seem as refined as their later works, and some of the jokes outstayed their welcome (that Sephiroth documentary inparticular almost put me to sleep, to be honest with you).
Still, the cameos by Dr. Ashen were great, and there were some nice choices on the list overall.

I would have to disagree with the Sephiroth choice and gone with Kefka instead. He was simply better then Sephiroth in almost all regards. He had a memorable laugh, great quotes, and he was definitely more successful in the psychotic murdering department. He actually succeeded in rearranging the face of the world and then making it his plaything using his Light of Judgment.

Dudes, you definitely had some interesting and off the wall villains in there, but I must disagree.
Kefka > Sephiroth.
Sephiroth is a sissy momma's boy who only managed to kill one character we actually care about.
Kefka is completely psychotic with NO mommy issues, and maims and destroys innumerable poor souls and is directly responsible for the death of named son and wife of party member Cyan. Not to mention he actually DID get god-like powers and pwnt the world.

Which all the worst villains in history thought, they weren't' doing it to be evil.

More firing squad material here- ARE YOU SERIOUS? I have to completely and utterly disagree on this. /Sarcasm Yes, The greatest villains are ALWAYS the prissy boys 'I just wanted to do something good despite obviously fucking everything over!' / Sarcasm
Good intentions do not make evil- BAD ones do. If you're a villain you don't do it for good, You do it for bad!

Kurvos wrote:What the... seriously, guys; you are trying to hard to be funny when you aren't. Your jokes are WAY too intern for the viewer to understand or to laugh about. You are so silly, even the Nostalgia Critic could make fun of you. You're taking it out of context, this show was made in 2008 for a video game TV network. How can you not make them intern? Your logic is so silly, even the Irate Gamer could use you as a scriptwriter.
