Definantly a very awesome game.
Didn't do anything for bonfire night unfortunately apart from play D&D and unfortunatly didn't get to set any fires neither.
Golden eye was probably one of the best games ever to come out on the N64.
Indeed, not bad for something that was almost cancelled after the N64 light gun was axed!

11.06.2009 - 09:02 | MachI must say that I completely DESPISE console shooters, but this one along with Perfect Dark (Though Golden eye always seemed more fun) are still some of my favorite all-time games. I remember getting all the friends together for a four-player frag party...which always degenerated into controller-throwing "HOW DID YOU SHOOT ME, I WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR!" reply: "Your hand was sticking through and I had the golden gun..." re-reply "ARRRRGH! *controllertoss* "
Good times ^_^

but despite all our best wishes, this game will never have an xbox live/ virtual consual release. there is just too many people to go through. ninten do said themself that it would cost too much money to port. but hopes good anyway

I have no clue how good it is or how faithful it is to the origional (or if it's even done, since it was on a list of top ten mods but only seems to be in it's third beta version as of current) but I believe some people made a Source mod for Goldeneye called, fittingly, Goldeneye: Source. The main drawback, though, is that it's PC (might not be a drawback to some) and that, you'll need a source game on your computer. All of the source games, though, are really good, so it's not like a huge loss to have to buy one.

11.06.2009 - 11:49 | YouAskedForItThis video needs a sequel.. One of the hardest games for me to put the controller down.

11.06.2009 - 14:17 | chefprotossAs cool as online gaming is it will never be the same as sitting next to three of your smelly friends and throwing down on some Golden Eye. I miss the 90's. :(
I didn't know know it was going to be a Light Gun game! :0
Oh yeah, it was originally going to be a Virtua Cop clone with a Bond license on top. But Nintendo scrapped the light gun, so Rare could either scrap the game, or change what there is.
There's a few levels that still feel like they were meant for a light gun, most notably the train level.
