Face = Melted
Now I wish I hadn't sold my copy of Final Fantasy IV Advance. Now I need to find another one and FF I and II: Dawn of Souls,
But wow, that story at the beginning...hits right at home, man. I talk of Akira Yamaoka, Daisuke Ishiwatari, Koji Kondo, Motoi Sakuraba, Takeharu Ishimoto, Nobuo Uematsu...and I feel so isolated, like I'm the only one who knows these names. In fact, my iTunes library is primarily game music, and I get made fun of for it.

I just started listening to these guys in the beginning of Summer 2008, and actually saw them open for Turisas last year. Not only are they good musicians, their costumes and performance on stage were incredible! They are definitely one of the best video game cover bands I've ever heard, if not the best. I can't wait to see them again next year when they open for Sonata Arctica!
Here's a ~4 minute clip that I took when I saw them in November 2008. It's a thing like this that confirms my belief that most of the obscure metal community (myself included), are nerds. ;)

Amazing Video andythemoviethegame if you like Powerglove check out the Black Mages although you may already have heard of them.
Video Game music in my opinion is better then most music because the composers truly put their heart and soul into their pieces and will forever. Not only that but the music actually takes meaning in my own life as a fond memory of the past and that is true magic.

Powerglove, **** yeah. They're made of pure awesome. Gotta love video game music that is properly transitionned into metal(AKA not just reproducing the same notes and adding a bit of drums but actually adding to it).
Powerglove actually has a new album which should be coming up quite soon, this time though it's going to be power metal covers of old cartoon music, including This is Halloween, Under the Sea, The Simpsons, X-men, Transformers, Pokemon, Inspector Gadget and a few others.
And they also have another album planned which will be all about video game music again, and they did say they'll have some Chrono Trigger in there, as well as Kirby (power metal kirby, now THAT'S badass), and probably some Megaman, and more unannounced stuff, so I can't wait for that as well.Good to see more people discovering the band. They're too good to be passed up.
I'm planning on going to see them in one of their tours next year when they pass in Montreal, can't wait to see them live.

I was going to one of my favorite bands of all time Hammerfall at the Worcester palladium in Worcester, MA. I'd seen Powerglove as a opening band and i thought to myself "Are they going to do video game music?". Sure enough they open with Tetris and i was floored. I'm going to see them again soon in a few month i hope they have new stuff.
My friend showed me this band like a year ago, and I haven't stopped listening since.
