Btw by old-school I mean the actual gameplay and not that the game is old...or is it? Am I getting old?

I love the Megaman Zero series, 2 is my favorite. Awesome remix, though there where better songs in the game to remix.

Always loved the music in the Megaman Zero music.
Indeed, the version does sound more NES, and I really like the electric synth carrying the melody.
My own favorite music soundtrack would be the first Paper Mario though, something that OC Remix has, surprisingly nothing on.

You should check out this video on youtube. It's a remix of over 30 anime and video game theme songs. The video is also pretty incredible. It uses a super mario world mod to to go along with the song.

My favorite song from Megaman Zero 2 was TimeBomb. Short, but really catchy.

I always liked the Zero series. The translation was... Iffy. But that's kinda par for the course. The game play was good and varried a bit from game to game. And it could be freaking tough at times. Especially if you were going for a good rating on the missions.
As for the GBA, that was a hell of a system. Between the great original games and some awesome re-releases, it had a hell of a run.
I bought my "You can only see this if you're sitting on the surface of the sun" GBA pretty early on, and I got a lot of mileage out of it. About as much as I got out of my old grey brick Gameboy. The GBA still runs quite well in spite of the latch to the battery area having been busted since about the first week or two I owned it. I could always tell it was my GBA because of the big piece of tape on the back holding the thing shut.

I own this song, and yes, it is an awesome remix to an already awesome game track.
I'm curious though,Andy. What's that song in the background that you were telling your story upon the discovery of this song to? Now that sounds awesome...

That was from FFVII and the name of the track is Racing Chocobos - place your bets.
Glad you liked the track!

That was awesome, both the music and the player! Unfortunately, I'm not that good at the MMZ series, so I'll have to grab the song but I don't think I can match that player's skill yet.
By the way, the video's description on the front page is wrong. It's some anti-Wii propaganda instead.

Funny you should pick this remix to make a video about, I listened to it for the first time in quite a while just the other day.
Anyways, keep up the good work! Maybe some Castlevania next time while you're in the old-school gaming department? ^^
