This game looks great if my computer could play it or i had an xbox i would probably get it just cause it looks fun

09.04.2009 - 23:08 | FlayerThis game is nowhere near a tribes ripoff. While some of the game mechanics resemble a tribes game, Section 8 is more like starship troopers(the book). Even the commanders call the troops apes.
This game has already built up a huge fanbase based on the beta and it is merited. The gameplay is top notch, it's ideas, while inspired by other science fiction, are innovative and while the single player campaign is short and lackluster(beat it in under 6 hours), the multiplayer will push this game far into the gaming community.

This was suprise. I didn't expect Game Heroes doing review of the new game. Its great that Section 8 is more like Tribes than Halo. In fact Tribes 2 is still my favorite multiplayer FPS to PC.

you had me at no spawn camping. One of my friends actually has a shirt with a picture of a tent with a sniper barrel sticking out of the flap, with a caption that says "it's a legitimate tactic." For someone who's average lifespan in a game of Halo is 30 seconds, bringing that practice to an end is most praiseworthy.

The game looks awesome! After getting fragged by someone, it looks like it will always be a sweet moment dropping in behind the guy who killed you and capping his ass. Even better, is it possible to land on him with your drop pod?

Now that's giving spawn campers the finger right there. Great gameplay. Who care about graphics with multiplayer as good as that? The game looks above standard anyway.

So its a got a crappy campaign, but with great multiplayer? Then a fair score would be like 5 for mp and 1 for sp? In any case, I find competitive mp terribly boring, so I will give this game a miss.

Only one problem: This game didn't come out on the PS3, and while it looks good, I wouldn't buy a console for it.
I have just one question: how does it compare to Command and Conquer: Renegade?

...of PS3 fanboys. I love the PS3, and I honest to God wish our fanboys weren't like the fellow above.
That being said the game looks like fun, I've always been more of a single player than anything, but that is some good looking multi player. Especially the anti-spawn killing method. I might get a copy at some point. Thanks for another great review!

I did not like this game it gripped me less than a dophin with greasy fins could. It was dull controls were awkward and playing it on your own is about as satisfying as constapation. :(
