Hopefully, the power of TGWTG will bring Rhapsody to the attention of us silly Americans, and we can throw off the shackles of mainstream annoyances such as the pretentious Green Day, the insufferable Linkin Park, the infernal Three Days Grace, and BrokeNCYDE, whose sonic swill has ruined many innocent minds, and is so supremely horrifying that a single note of their art-killing "music" causes one's bones to explode.

I found out about all those bands (all of which I highly recommend) on the wonderful site Pandora (Which I would call a "Godsend" if I believed in a fictional deity). And no, I don't care if your musical taste is different from mine.

I grouped Helloween in the "Bands everybody already knows about" category. If I misunderestimated their popularity, I apologize.

Rhapsody (of Fire) is my all-time, number one favourite band of all time! "Unholy Warcry", "Dawn of Victory", "Holy Thunderforce", "Knightrider of Doom", "Agony is my Name"... all favourites of mine. They also did an excellent cover of Manowar's "Power of Thy Sword".

For those who don't know, Rhapsody had to update their name to Rhapsody of Fire due to legal issues, but most people just stick to calling them Rhapsody.

Rhapsody (of Fire, Ice, Lightning...whatever)
is one of my all time favorite metal bands (Symphonic Power Metal to be exact)

Nightwish? There have been bands playing this style of music for over 30 years. Sounds like Nightwish my booty. Nightwish sounds like Helloween, Maiden & Priest.

Glad to see TGWTG opening people’s minds to Rhapsody and hopefully other Power Metal bands like Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, and Iced Earth. I have been telling people about Power Metal for years but never really got through to them maybe this will help open there eyes to this great yet unrecognized genre of music.

Seriously? Nightwish? Don't ever compare these gods of epic metal to Nightwish. Nightwish is good, but not on the level of Rhapsody.

I'm going to have to check these guys out. Also, I'd like to see one of these videos about Amon Amarth. Too bad that the Twilight of the Thunder God video doesn't have anything to do with the song, because it would be awseome to watch a music video about Thor fighting a giant sea monster.

After whatching your first HMP my brother downloaded as many Therion Songs as he could and I (The honest Soul I am) bought Gothic Kabbalah with in a week.

You should try to show more than one song from each band, it would really help get into them.

And you should have put some of the most acid trip kind of songs they have. Like Rain of a thousand flames. It's one of their best songs, but...

Anyway, awesome band. I used to listen to it all day when I only knew a few bands, and I started to get into the whole universe thing. It makes some sense after a while, they repeat names and stuff. But it's no literature.

Recommended song: Wizard's Last Rhymes. It's my song to go when I sit in front of the computer after reading Dragonlance, together with Nightwish's Wishmaster.
