*warning*

when I mentionned the Genesis, it was just to refer to what else people were playing when that game came out in the arcade !!!!!

The video isn't showing up for me. At all. There's just white space between the title at the top of the page and the ads.
All other videos seem to be working just fine though.

Good job!

I'm always amazed at what these developers and composers were able to do with the limited technology at the time. Getting even a minor level of density/lushness in the sound was amazing enough, and this game just was able to take it that much further.

This soundtrack is one that screams for a live re-recording, if it hasn't been done already!

Haha, I like the character commiting suicide in the end haha

Where can ya find this game now? Was it only an arcade game?
• fermperez  - MAME!

Agreat review for a grerat game, you are from the few that actualy have done a realy great show for this particular game.I love it the first time i have olayed that game was back in 1998 i think as i recall,in some arcades that have in army when i was go.From then i searched like mad in the mame to find it.But i couldnt find it any anywere, ant thats because the spesific game was not yet released for the mame. What can i say....the music the graficks, the game was kicked ass as you say brother, one of the greater brawlers that deserves trophy. In the final bosses you forgot to show the sexy beast girl, wich i dont know exactly what anymal she was but she was sexy allright show her butt, its like a litle sensored to me i think :0 anyway good review man.

I played that. I got all the way up to the last guys second form and ran out of tokens. Also it was at Universal Studios Florida, so I couldn't get more money and go back :( .

Good vid. Like how you really showcased the game. Great music. You did a great job.

Holy shit, the Genesis was making these sounds? And the Genesis always had the worst sound of any 16-bit console out of all of them. I can only imagine how hardcore the arcade version must have been.

I can only imagine how hardcore the arcade version must have been.
The sounds you're hearing are from the arcade version (which I think is the only version) of the game. The SNES /might/ have been able to do this soundtrack, given that it was using a sample based music system (though RAM/Memory restrictions might've made a soundtrack like this impossible).

The Genesis, however, was using predominantly FM-Synthesis (along with pulse/square wave based PSG) based music for its games, and wouldn't have had enough sample based audio tracks to even hope of having music like this for a game.

Game Audio Geek knowledge for the win. :P

Wow, that soundtrack was awesome! I could never imagine that the Genesis could handle such an awesome soundtrack, and the game looked great! :0

I'm a little surprised you didn't talk more about the composer for the game (Mutsuhiko Izumi) and some of his other works, as you tend to do that for your Soundtrack videos. Also, as an interesting factoid, two songs from Metamorphic Force were remixed for Konami's GuitarFreaks and DrumMania series (of which Izumi is the driving force) as Model DD6 and Model DD7.

It's still a great video, though.

@the above comments: I'm fairly certain this is an arcade only game, and he just mentioned the Genesis as a means of dating the game.

So the premise of the game is that a bunch of furries actually turn into real anthropomorphs and go around kicking some ass? Sign me up!

Oh yeah, the music rocks, too!
• Crazed17

wow the music in the game was awesome! And I liked the ending, too. Haha!
• Capsloco  - Speaking of the Genesis....

This game reminds me of Altered Beast, a game which was released on the Genesis.
In Altered Beast you only had two characters, the second one obviously being a palette swap for player two. But on the bright site, you could transform into different kinds of beastforms like a demon or a wolfman.
It was at some times kinda gory, but not much.
Also it has not such an asskicking Ost as Metamorphic Force. (hence to the restrictions of the Genesis, of course.

Anyway, nice Job Ben. But i wonder...was this game released on XBLA? Would be a hard time to get footage of such an old Arcade game.

Ps: My bad if you mentioned that already. ^^"
