I've never played that game before but I do remember playing a Basketball game that had the same top down look and the same character models for the SNES. Same gaming company maybe? IDK, what I do know is that this music does fucking rock.

Why do so many idiots still think that it's cool to say "Dur, hur, FIRST?" There isn't even any content posted. It's just some genius that's getting excited about being in the right place at the right time.
With all that aside, wow, does this game have awesome music, and the Amiga's sound is insane! As for the movies, the first Rollerball movie was great as well! The remake was awful, though.

I didn't know what speedball was when I clicked to watch this movie, but as soon as I saw the team selection screen, I recognized it.
Well, kinda. I never got to play speedball, but I had the NES version that you metioned, Klash Ball. I never thought it was bad, just not great.

Also, if you're going to watch Rollerball, make sure you're watching the original, and not the remake that came out in 2002. A brief flash of a look at Rebecca Romijn's bare chest doesn't even come close to making up for the rest of that movie.

Now that's some music I could get behind! Kinda gives you a feeling like you need to go do something quickly..... listening to that while just sitting there doing nothing would be so

"Sex god Benzaie", eh? I'll take your word for it.
Something tells me that I'd love Speedball if I ever got to play it. I'll just stick with watching the original Rollerball movie though, it's awesome.

I remember playing this back in the days of the almighty Amiga. I had forgotten how kick-ass the music is. Thanks for the reminder, Benzai. Thumbs up!

I don't think I have played part 1, but I used to have Speed Ball 2 on the Amiga and it was AWESOME!

Ahhh... memories to Amiga time.
I also loved Xenon 2There should be more reviews of Amiga, C64 and DOS games.

It was called Klash Ball on the NES as Nintendo thought Speedball was a reference to drugs did ye know?

The Marsland Brotherhood made one in 2003:
http://remix.kwed.org/files/RKOfiles/Marsland%20Brotherhood%20-%20Speedball.mp3Speedball rocked! Both games! It's really hard to decide which one's better: The second one gives you more to do but this one's way faster

@comicbookguy:
Agreed, those systems keep getting overlooked as gaming platforms!

Because then we would be distracted from the music, which was the point of the video.
Benzaie, I love the GSYMDK series! I'm so glad you're doing more of them.

I used to play this on the Amiga with the brother back in the day. A classic game and I like this one much better than the sequel.

I'm a huge fan of Speedball 2 so I really enjoyed this review.
It's definitely missing some audio/video of you Benzaie. Would love to have seen you dressed in some Speedball-esque garb whilst playing this.

This game reminds me of Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball for the SNES.

The first one kinda makes me thing of the music from doom.
