Did they even beta test this game? This game rivals Big the Rigs for the most buggy and unfinished racing game ever released.

I'm pretty sure that the sound of the engine is the same kind of noise they pump into holding cells of people they are torturing for information. To much exposure to it will liquefy your brain.

This is one of his first reviews I believe, so he was just starting out.

It continues to amaze me that despite Dr. Ashens getting really pissed off about some of the Tat he's reviewed or the Terrible Old Games We've Probably Never Heard of, he has one of the most calming voices I've ever heard. Strangely relaxing in a good way.

Awesome as always, good Doctor. Though I'd seen this one at your website long ago, it's still great to see it again. You need to get the "Quickest Game Overs" up on TGWTG, those are CLASSIC.

The putridity of this game is really enhanced if anyone's see Benzaie's review of IK+, so they can see what that game is really like...and thus have a good frame of comparison of what the Atari ST can do...and what cheapo programmers shitting out a game will make it do.
Even Math Grand Prix for the 2600 is more playable than this tripe. Really, if one is going to make a knock-off, at least make one halfway decent. Makes popstations seem classy, this game does.
All in all, I give this review 100%--'cause I'm a huge fan!

Finally someone who mentions the Atari ST. A friend of mine and I used to play Seconds Out. Yes. It's worse than Punch-Out, but it had some interesting ideas.

I don't think he made fun of it at all :dry: . What he said was that a game he used to play, therefore probably liked, was worse then punch-out. Hence saying that punchout was BETTER then that game.

What I never got is why would you want to buy a game about go-karting in the first place? It's like a paintballing game.

video games are a lot about reliving fantasies you'd never be able to do in real life. For instance, I'll never be a Formula 1/Nascar driver nor fight on the beaches of Normandy in WWII, but with a video game I can. Games like Go Karting and Paintballing, I can easily do by going to a local arena and enjoy the real thing for far less than what the game costs.

So why anyone would want to play a simulation of a simulation is beyond me.

Here's a good one to do sometime: Castlegaurd for the Tandy. Um...I forget what the system was called, TRS 160 or something around there? The number is just a guess. But anyway, it's almost certain to be unheard of.

This is probably the 2nd worst racing game I've ever seen. The first being Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. :X

I just don't see how you can screw up something as simple as RC Proam so badly, but this game proves it is possible, like idiot savants of bad game creation.

It's an absolute droll to see a vechile racing game that forgets one of the most important things about vechile racing... the speed!
