Federation, cause Cpt. Picard took the time to make a whole song and choreographed dance number for Joe (that, and I dont know much about star trek haha)

It's a tribute to Gene Rodenberry, the creator of Star Trek. It was never part of any episode, just some extra material on the DVDs.
And it's Federation all the way, but if I where to choose a rase I'd choose Q. :evil:

As for what faction you should choose, I will be on an European server so we wont get to game together but I strongly suggest Federation. If you choose Federation you will be the angriest most rebellious Federation officer they have but if you choose Klingon you will probably be a considerate moderate. One in a Klingon Crowd nothing more. Federation!

Aside from the obvious plotholes... That was just cheap and unfunny.
Why couldn't you do a detailed analysis on all the ships that have been announced? Bonus points for combat demonstrations.
And get some trekkies is Starfleet and Klingon uniforms to answer your specific questions. Show you at least tried to make some original content.

I liked the SW The Old Republic video. So I'm going to give you some constructive feedback - or at least my two cents.
With plotholes I mean this. What's the connection with Ackbar? I hate wars-trek crossovers anyway. Second, the footage is of a Sovereign class starship - my favourate btw - and in this MMO it is outdated and as far as I know not playable. Thirdly - what's the connection between a sovereign and Ackbar...? Fourthly, if one sends a message to ask for a list of reasons they should join that particular side, you don't get a captain of a ship - you get the admiralty or higher. What the hell was up with the Klingon battle song and Picards' little sideshow project? That's unfunny, unrealistic, redicilious...
IMHO You would have done a better job getting a trekkie as a starfleet officer to 'demonstrate' the perks of the new starfleet ships (bonus points for battle footage) and a Klingon trekkie arguing his side.
We want to see action, not unfunny singing.
And finally, an admiral does not ask his captains to vote - he asks to submit recomendations based on the demonstrations.
Thát would have been cool to watch and much more enjoyable.

First of all, I have never seen anyone miss the point of a video so much in my life.
Secondly, the Ackbar part was in reference to one of Joe's previous videos, so i suppose if you hadn't seen that one, you wouldn't have got it like regular Angry Joe viewers
Nice video Joe, i for one enjoyed it, shame i can't join in the game as i don't play MMO's ;)

It's to announce the unofficial release date and to call for a vote.
The problem is the way it's brought. The Ackbar footage was cheap - youtube is full of 12yo's pasting footage from Trek and Wars and calling it a "fan film", so was the Sovereign footage, and Joe was just sitting in a chair in front of a computer generated background. Wow!
And the whole singing part was unfunny, unrealistic, unfunny, and did I mention unfunny?
Don't you agree that this vid would have been much better if Joe got some Trekkies to describe the ships (show some effort!) and battle footage demonstrating the ships?
This vid is just Joe talking and cheap copy-paste work. Even the AGVN could do better - though Joe is admitably a little bit better then the 12yo's on Youtube.

11.09.2009 - 07:34 | ReamerI'm more of a Romulan person as well. However, if I had to choose between the two it's a tough one. I had always assumed the Klingon were based off of Samurai, aren't they? While I'm a fan of the Bird of Prey, nothing beats the shear might of a Starfleet Armada. When you see that Armada get ready to kick some serious ass in DS9 you know the Federation ain't messing around. The diversity of the the ships is great with the Federation and let's face it, that's why you play a game like this, for the ships and the Armada. I would have to say Federation all the way as well.
