  • Sigmanonymous  - Tsk Tsk...

Soo many bugs... I'm actually starting to be happy I didn't buy Fallout 3 and waste my money on buggy expansions to the game.

P.S. What might your thoughts be on ANOTHER Fallout, this one taking place in, where else, Las Vegas... wait, what?

EDIT: You can swear on your videos, Joe. It'll just make us like it more. XD

  • AngryJoeShow  - Fallout: Vegas vs Aliens RPG

I'll likely do something on this in the future....

When I first heard about Fallout: Vegas over at obsidian....First thing I said was "What happened to the Aliens RPG, im more interested in the status of that, if this fallout:vegas is bumping it then im pissed"

Fallout: Vegas Could be fun but for me I'd rather see an Aliens RPG like KOTOR...

    P.S.
Why the hell are idiots down voting your comment (like it matters)?
Oh, maybe cuz you dont like fallout? Iono - Fallout is a fun game, im just saying be prepared for bugs.

  • Swamphunter

Oh, here are my scores for the DLC:

    Anchorage: 6/10
+ Good loot at the end.
+ Fun for those with itchy trigger fingers.
    - Too Short
    - Dialogue needed work.
    - Felt rushed.

    Pitt: 8/10
    + More good loot.
    + More open ended.
+ Felt like more effort was put into it than Anchorage.
+ Really felt like post-Apocalyptic Pittsburgh.
    - Patch that accompanied it broke VATS (was just fixed in a more recent patch, though).
    - Trogs are assholes.

  • AngryJoeShow

    Thanks for that!

"- Patch that accompanied it broke VATS (was just fixed in a more
    recent patch, though)."

This sh*t is starting to piss me off...

  • Dragunslayer

    Here's my take on them:
    Operation Anchorage: 5/10
Pros: Awesome Loot at the end(Chinese stealth suit is great!), customizable squads(second half of the DLC)

Cons: Too Linear, buggy as could be, way too short, not repeatable(not sure if they changed this yet)

    The Pitt: 8/10
Pros: Great new gear(Auto axe is just way too fun), more open with the story, felt like Pittsburgh(lived there so that's a MAJOR plus), far less buggy than OA, felt like I was having an impact on the world.

Cons: Finding all the ingots was a pain, trogs are bastards, some gear is a little less than worth the time to get it

Overall, OA was okay once the bugs were worked out but aside from the gear it wasn't really anything to get too excited over. Not really worth the price in my opinion, maybe at half price.

The Pitt blew my mind. Having lived in Pittsburgh for a few years while going to school it was important that I felt I was there and did I ever. The gear was good, storyline was great I was impressed by it. And as swamp said, the issues with The Pitt weren't Bethesda's fault but Microsoft's. If you HAVE to get one of these two, definitely get the Pitt.

  • AngryJoeShow  - Stealth Suit

    Good breakdown!

Anyone know if I can get the stealth suit from The Pitt or do I have to buy Anchorage?
(and the other weapons from the first pack for that matter)

  • OvNiKo

1 pack 7/10 and no bug on PC

  • Shinigami

Before consoles went to network, console players laughed to PC-players becouse most PC-games needed update patches. Now when update patches are possible to download with consoles, same has happened to them.

  • AngryJoeShow

And it sucks....it needs to stop.

Unless they are using it to add things to the game like new stuff, instead of fixing broken things im cool with it, otherwise, it sucks!

I think im going to start a tally in the future of how many times a company patches its games, and give them a grade based on that (among other things).

    Anyone like that idea?

  • YourAverageJoe

What's funny is that many great PC games in the past have gotten support from their developers way after every bug was ironed out, just handing out free DLC.

Could be just me, but I heard that they were gonna release the expansions to the PC in the form of a separate buy, kinda like Starcraft: Brood Wars was for Starcraft.

  • FouCapitan

    Operation Anchorage 7 / 10

Good setting and a straightforward questline. It was rather short, and left pretty much nothing to choice as far as how you went about completing it. The rewards are fantastic though.

    The Pitt 8 / 10

A much better expansion in terms of gameplay, setting and customization than Anchorage was. Unfortunately the equipment out of The Pitt didn't stack up as well as Anchorage's did. Still a very nice expansion that was much more fun to play though.

  • pawdugan

Operation Anchorage was worth a couple of bucks I think, and I really didn't have any issues with the playability. Then again, I didn't download it until after a week of it's release. The missions didn't really cater to my sneaky-boots style of gameplay, but the rewards are well worth it. The Stealth Suit? The Shocksword? Hells yes.
    7/10

The Pitt I nabbed the day after it released and wasn't super impressed. It was just kind of bland, a little boring, and not offering much in the way of rewards. Well, you do get a neat buzzsaw weapon, that that wasn't worth the price of admission. The kicker was it introduced this awesome Arena type area for a few kick-ass battles.. but it only lasted maybe 3 rounds with no real option to go in again. Why not give us an Oblivion style Arena? Test us, challenge us.
    4/10

Hope that helps, Joe. I'm excited about Broken Steel and getting rid of that damn level cap so I can play Fallout the way I want to and not avoiding shit just because I'll gain a level as a consequence. Once you hit the level cap, what's the point of continuing? I have maybe 4 characters now because of that.

  • AngryJoeShow

Sweet Paw, thanks for your honest ratings...

Dangit so far people are mixed....

Cool Loot in the first one...

More to do in the second....

I wonder if broken steel will have all the loot from the first two...

  • Deimos1984rd

The bugs in the DLC make fallout 3 look like a VR mission in Metal Gear Solid
Thanks for the preview, looking forward to Broken Steel....If it isn't buggy...

  • Rimjob

Ya operation anchorage was not very good but you should download the pitt because that one was better.

  • Evil Lincoln

    I'd give operation anchorage a 6/10
the loot was pretty sweet, the length was short but maybe thats a good thing, cuz you are pretty much trapped in the simulation until you finish it. and on my second and third play though i would just want the loot and not have it take more than a couple hours. (also it was kinda nice to see a little of fallout's history but maybe thats just me :P)

The pitt id give an 8.5 it definitely had more meat to it than OA. it had more to do and didnt change around the rules like OA did. you could make choices that actually effected the outcome and it comes with lots of cool new armors and a few new weapons too, plus a couple of neat perks. and for me best of all is after you complete it you get access to the ammo press, that lets you make ammo from other ammo that you don't use as much (now iv got hundreds of magnum rounds XD)

so overall the pitt is worth your money IMO. as for operation anchorage that depends on how much u are willing to spend for a fairly short linear quest that gets u a few really sweet items at the end.
here's hoping that broken steel comes out without gamebreaking bugs!

  • moni1996

    dunt call me bich >:(

  • AngryJoeShow  - Friends

    LoL.
Bitches! (When I call you all bitches its in the most "Bro-ish" friends kinda way possible).

Unless you actually are one, in that case, i am just calling you a bitch.

  • M.D.K.II

I honestly didn't bother with any DLC because the ending was so downgrading and badly composed and written that I just deleted the whole thing.

I honestly enjoyed Fallout 2 much more, even though it was also buggy as hell, and Fallout 3 just didn't live up to my expectations. Were it called 'Nuclear Wasteland' or something like that, I would have probably liked it more.

  • STP584

Well, I downloaded both OA and the Pitt on the same day, and still haven't gotten around to the Pitt, as its my 4 th play through, and I am still wrapping up everything in the Capitol Waste before heading to the Pitt or the Main Storyline of the game.

Operation Anchorage was definitely mad short, I played through it in mabye 1 and a half hours. However, I really liked it, shortness aside, with the Outcast interaction, and the gaining of very unique equipment, like the Gauss Rifle and Stealth Suit. The power armor training is also nice, if you do it early enough.

As for what I understand of the pitt, the ammo press turns scrap metal and stuff into useful bullets, so that can't hurt at all. And the auto-axe might be a reasonable alternative to my shiskabab...assuming the perk from the DLC makes it worth it.

So, I'd say, 8/10 for me, on OA...unless its shortness is something that really erks you, in which case, take it down to a 6/10. And the Pitt is a ??/10.

  • Havoc82  - Question for Joe

Whatever happened to your vid about the things that you liked about Fable 2?

  • AngryJoeShow  - Its on my Youtube.

Its on my Youtube account still:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn_-mCswkQs

Are you asking why its not posted here? Or why dont I do more "Reasons X Game Kicked Ass?"

  • adrasl300

The simulation expansion(forgot its name) is actually pretty bad overall....yeah it doesnt add much at all and the content...I mean Im more of an epic rpg game type and it seems that they trying to attract action game kiddies.
    Bethesda makes excellent games!?
Yeah I guess they do :) they dont beat guys like Bioware when it comes to stuff like attention to detail though!

  • AngryJoeShow

Agreed. Bioware is exellent at detail (but they dont do as much depth)

And the moderators at the Bethesda forums are serious douchbags.

  • adrasl300

I guess that depends on what you mean by depth.
You mean that theres alot more stuff to do in Bethesdas games right?

  • Lotus Prince

Wow, when your video got "buggy," that really reminded me of the bad endings in the first Myst game. :-p

  • EchoGarrote

    OA 3/5

    + Great loot
    + Shootin' commie bastards

    - "Lets stop RPG time and play a shooter!"
    - Short
    - Feels tacked on

    The Pitt 4/5

+ Story MUCH stronger and feels MUCH more at home in the Fallout world
+ Big jungle gym-ish area to explore, find and kill things
+ Arena battles are always welcome
    + Industrial chainsaws

    - Make sure you get all updates to avoid bugs
    - Trogs are quiet little bastards who will claw you from behind.

  • Ghostmayhem

    They were both 9/10, IMHO.
I loved Anchorage mostly because I'm a big shooter fan and I loved the setting in Fallout's history.
As for The Pitt, it lasted a bit longer, but it just wasn't as satisfying...They're still both worth playing, though. ;)

  • Napalm

I think that operation anchorage was about a 7 or 8
can't really say anything about the pitt as i haven't played it

  • rosenrot234

quick question because i actually havent played this series. isnt bethesda the people who made Oblivion? if so then i dont get why they rushed and didnt bug check. i mean fuck if they could make oblivion with that setting and all the npcs details yada yada, then why rush? if they arent the guys who made the game im going to feel really stupid. im just saying. what exactly were those bugs? the triangle !!!'s. wtf is that? this stuff should only happen in PCs like you said. well...it shouldnt happen at all but at least with the pc you can kind of expect it since most games people play on the pc are games like WoW that have the possibility of crashing. console games shouldnt have that problem though...what gives? just felt like dropping a question/game console opinion since i havent played the game. hope you dont mind.

  • thrashintothenight

    they did make oblivion..
also morrowind (the first GOOD rpg i played, and the game that made me into a bethesda fanboy)

  • Ekioskari  - This game sucks...

I only have OA on PC but... it sucks...
    4/10

    +Good loot
    -Short
    -Non-repeatable
-At one point I completely forgot the whole RPG-thing
    -Bugs
    -About the loot, keep reading...

My computer keeps crashing while playing the game (but that's the computer's fault, not the game... i think...). When i finally finished it, after about a hundred crashes, when I got out of the simulation, I went to the treasure room, took as much stuff as i could and double checked if i got everything. When i came out, the freaking Outcasts started shooting me for no reason! I loaded the autosave, went to the treasure room, this time waited a little bit, then, for no reason, they killed me again! After a lot of trying I made it out of there with the stuff, but I haven't played it after that happened... buggy bastard...

    I don't have The Pitt, because of the bugs... I don't want a buggy game! I give it a 3/10 though :P

  • DaxxonFord

    I agree with swamp hunter
    achorage 6/10
    pitt 8/10

the pitt though had a better atmosphere I thought.
especialy taking away all your stuff for the first half.
god I was so scared going into the steel yard the first time.

I'm at level 20 but I felt like level 1 again going against those trogs.
    creepy and gross

  • that one Irish guy

Anchorage is a must even if it is just a simulation, this is due to the fact that not only do you get Power armor training after you're done with it but you also get a sweet piece of Power armor that never brakes. 9/10
The Pitt.........sucked don't bother unless you're an achievement whore or if you absolutely need an Auto Axe. 2/10

  • Lenneh  - ZOMG

Wow Joe I never noticed this, but we have the same size of eyebrows! You will henceforth be known (to me atleast) as my eyebrow brother. And oh yeah. FALLOUT VEGAS!!??!?! Soo excited, because fallout 3 only left me wanting more. VEGAS! Hell yeah. Oh and yeah i love all your reviews that goes without saying/typing.

  • AngryJoeShow

    AHAHHAH, awesome! Hell yea!

    Big eye brows FTW!

  • thrashintothenight  - expansions

    the pitt: 9/10
    no bugs, great immersive storyline
    almost perfect
would be 10/10, but it can only be purchased through windows live, which is just not a good service
why can't they sell it on steam?
    haven't tried operation anchorage yet

  • HG13

    10/10 on Both.

  • celestria420

umm i haven't experienced any of these bugs on my 360 (maybe cause i have a air cooler with its own power supply)

  • HopeWithinChaos

    MAH SHITS BUGGY!

  • G1990  - SuperNoob Comentary!

This video is going to kill me in seven days!

  • goldman

sorry man, i hate fallout 3, fallout 1 and 2 were okay(not the greatest games evur, but fun) fallout 3 was just boring, but that comes from someone who didn't like oblivion either, so that's probably it...
although fallout 3 was better than oblivion, it still sucked!...
    for me!
