Dancing Wolverine...oddly, it's exactly what people didn't like about the intro to this year's Oscars.

It's good that we're seeing more and more improvements in these games regarding core concepts...it just sucks that the developers are given so little time to get the games done, and as a result they're frequently left unpolished, as you noted here.
Hopefully one of these days they get the production cycles done right for these things...

Yes you were right that the Golem I think and the Wendigo mini-bosses got really repetitive really fast but still the gameplay was really cool, really graphic, fun upgrading and experience system and damn I played the PC version and the controls were really good even with the Keyboard and Mouse combo ( my controller has issues with the Unreal 3 engine) but yeah it's more a must rent than a must buy.

A right proper Wolverine game would have plenty of Drill Claw! Drill Claw! Berserker Barrage!
Eh, maybe their take was a little better after all.

OMG you killed me with that Flashdance Wolverine. I would watch the movie though.Flashdance Origins: Wolverine.

As much as I enjoyed the game you know with the dismemberment of the arms stabbing through the head and the oh so wonderful splitting in half (yes i have issues) I couldn't stand the jungle or the same mercenaries or the boring puzzles. Still though, I would rather sit through the game than see the movie...good god man...I still can't get over what they did to friggin Deadpool.

hahaha
This rainy and boring day, the small wolverine costume and the "maniac" made my day! Great video as always Joe!
How come you are always so damn creative?

Well, this one looked decent. I bet it's one of those games that you rent from a store and play through in about one to two days.
Dunno if it's worth it, though.

Seeing a grown man in a childs Wolverine costume disturbs me, Joe...it really does.
Anywho, GREAT REVEIW, AS ALWAYS!!! ADAMANTIUM RAGE!!!
I'll take your advice and rent it out!

That "big finish" needed water, confetti, or something. Otherwise it's another great parody review.

07.09.2009 - 04:28 | AngryJoeShow - Your Right.
It definitely need alot more - unfortunately before we could film the "Real" big finish Joe torn the costume by raising this hands too high into the air.
So I had to go back and find a finish from when we were goofing off.

But I must disagree with the review.
Although there was a bit more of the jungle scene than I would've liked, I never thought the game was repetitive. Well, no more than the usual game of the genre that is. I've always felt that the WENDIGO's and the golems were just a stronger normal enemy since they're so easy to kill, rather them being bosses.Speaking of easy, an issue I thought you were going to bring up was that the game may have been to easy. There really wasn't much of a challenge until you get later on into hard mode. The game can get a little glitchy as well, but not usually game ruining. The puzzles in the game weren't that bad, even though I do skip the one were you have to get your powers back now. I thought they added a little variety to the game. My biggest issue was the disjointed storyline, until I realized I was playing a game strictly to kill things.
So because of the massive amount of fun I had slaughtering countless fools with a few issues I had with the game, I give it an 8/10. Well worth the $50 I paid for it and a good buy for action junkies.
Oh geez. I just wrote my own review, didn't I? By the way, I couldn't tell what was going on with that costume until I realized it was a child's costume. Then I shot milk out my nose.

Wolverine is awesome no matter what, but just the idea of repetitive boss battles makes me want to kill. I thought Devil May Cry 4 was bad in that regard, but I was wrong. Thanks Joe for saving me the pain.

07.11.2009 - 14:37 | marushio - Thank you, Joe!!
I played the demo (PS3) and thought that was one of the most RADICAL hack-slash games I've seen.
I'm glad I've watched this video though. Since a game in Brasil is roughly TEN times more expensive than in the States, I can't buy mnore than a couple an year, so I gotta be very careful choosing!

Hey Joe, quick question here.
Just checked out your website and was wondering, who does the artwork for it?
Keep up the great work man.

I'm watching the gameplay and it feels like it's using the God of War engine. Would I be roughly correct in this estimation?
On that note, how do you feel about movie tie-ins that use other games' engines with tacked on modifications in order to cash in on a concurrent movie release?
