Multiplayer is a nice add-on, but not always necessary. And from the way you described most of the game, I don't think multiplayer could've saved this shitload.

We had a couple good terminator games:

Terminator for the Sega CD was one of the few good sega cd games.

The Terminator bethesda games (skyNET, future shock, terminator 2029, rampage was admittedly meh).

The original arcade game was pretty good too, everything else is crap. Good rule of thumb, if it's third person and not the sega cd game and it's terminator it sucks.

All the 4 features you highlighted that failed, are KEY features in games these days. And 2 enemies ? I mean even Super Mario Bros. had more than 2 enemies in the 80s ! This game is in 2009, where games should be great after 30 years of development. Most of them fail, as much as movies fail. We need to get some imaginative people in lead of these industries.

And Im a whore for anything that has local couch co-op which this does (how i played it, i wouldnt have been able to without forcing a friend to endure it with me) so +1 there.

I'd love to see a Battlefront/QUAKE Wars version of Terminator games. Even an RTS version where you get to play as Skynet would be awesome.

There is a lot of potential for a good Terminator game. It just needs to be made.

There is an old, old movie (Mystery Science Theater riffed it) simply called "Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy."

Most gamers know to stay cautious of movie games. This was no exception. For every one good movie tie in game there are 20 that suck.

On the flip side most original games that were made from scratch are fairly good for the price tag.

Only ones that come to mind as being good.

Better AI would made a variety in the skins departament needless.
Let there be only one kind of terminators (the humanoid ones) but lets there be variety in their tactics.
For instant Heavy weapon terminator, Sniper terminator, Silent terminator, Fast terminator and so on.

I knew you'd guys come up with something - this is valid and a workable idea.

Joe, this was an amazing video, and I found it very cute to use the bandanna in the game execution!

Great ideas for the company also! The Skynet point of view would be something more awesome than any future sequel, and the RPG would look great too!

You want to know what was only thing about this game that was good the load screen.

I think that was the only thing good about when you got to look in the eyes of a Terminator

Even that frustrated me. Why could you only turn it slow as hell. And it was so restricted on swivelling it around.

The graphics are awful? well Im sure all of the things you said are right, but in this video they look pretty decent, dont they? or am I getting so old? :dry:

I was hoping...HOPING for this game to be good, hoping that the creators had enough sense to work hard on this game and not fuck it up, but they did and it pisses me the hell off.

This is what I think they should do next time.

1: Havok engine, ragdoll physics, who doesn't want to see a resistance soldier flop around while getting owned by a terminator along with destructible environments.

2. MORE FRIGGIN TERMINATORS, not just the spiders and small cyborgs, add the HKs or even the tank terminators.

3. Optionally some blood and gore, this is just my opinion.

4.A co op multiplayer mode or like Joe said, a star wars battlefront type setting where you can play as the terminators or fight as the resistance.

5. Better Player models and skins, do not rush!!

That's all I can think of, all I can say is that Bethesda should do a terminator game, hell Future Shock was very good, Grin had their chance.
