Well, if you take your time to explore and enjoy each and every thing you come across, it's quite possible to get the hundreds of hours of gameplay. Especially if you make different characters.

Love it. Buy this game if you haven't. Gift it via Steam. It's a top choice for a great X-mas gift for your gamer.

It may not have Fallout or Elder Scrolls level of content, but it's still an amazing amount.

I last beat the game with A human female Noble, and a warrior specialized in Reaver and Berserker. Gave myself a necklace to reduce hostility, and let Alister take all the heat for me. Kicked on Berserk, Indominatble, Blood Lust, and Aura of Pain. Not many people attacked me, and my damage output became insane quickly.

The only thing I disagree with is the lack of voice thing. It's a nice thing to have, but it's hardly a big flaw. It's not even an issue when deciding to buy a game like this.

This is one of the best rpgs I've played on the Xbox 360 which stands in my collection of Fallout,Borderlands, Mass Effect and Oblivion.
I've prepared myself for battle and got the Blood Dragon Armor and I have the Golem, It's so enjoyable, Personally I choose Morrigan to be my love SHE'S MINE!!!!!!!!....err uhh..anyway, I love how interactive it is as well although I wish they did have my character talk like in Mass Effect. All in all it's awesome.

I think I already found a better value in single player for my money. It's a game called Trials HD and it's incredibly addicting, and costs $15 on XBLA. There is a lot of content and it takes a long time to master the game. But, I've never died so much in a game and not been frustrated at all. And there is a track editor.

You should look it up Joe, I bet it's a better single player value for my money.

Oh and the sex with clothes seems too ridiculous to not be intentional. Like it's Bioware poking fun at censorship by doing that.

Awesome review Joe, this is by far one of my favorite games since I purchased a 360/ps3. I agree with you on DAO having the main character silent. I think Mass Effect spoiled us a bit because I really enjoyed what Shepard says when you choose an option. I love the discussions between your party during actual gameplay of DAO. Alistair and Morrigan had some interesting discussions between each other. BTW, did you notice that Morrigan is clearly wearing no bra with her outfit, yet before she gets down with you she strips down to...a bra...

The game is awesome. To be kind of mean though. There is no point complaining about why it ain't as good for the 360 as it is for the PC. It was designed from the PC period then ported very late to the console. Unlike almost every other port done for once it is PC to console. And games like buldars gate and neverwinter nights arn't games you should be playing on the console.
The reason why you can't zoom out is the fact that the hardware in the 360 is crap compare to PCs now days. Graphics are way better on PC.

And here is my helpful tip of the day. If you buy the game look up steam's digital deluxe version, yeah I don't do steam much but, it is the collectors edition which is sold out most places and people are paying way to much for it. the steam deal is like $65 and it won't go out of stock. has every bit of bonus content well not the preorder bonus oh joy a ring that gives me +1% to exp to be honest it looks cool but it isn't that great of a ring.

I will be buying the game as soon as I can afford it currently playing my friends copy.
Oh by the way David Silverman is one of the big producers for this game. EA pulled him from the C&C series to work on this and he is the one that made C&C what it is today. So I think this game will be getting alot of attention. Expect more content soon for it.

The graphics on the PC are far better then they are on the XBox, so I wouldn't put that as a negative, though it is odd that the developers didn't make better use of the XBox's graphics capabilities like they could have.

Aside from that though this game is pure epic AWESOME. Not only the best RPG of the year, but the best GAME OF THE YEAR in my opinion.

i like that your character doesen't have a voice, makes it more personel. instead of some other guy that isn't you, can imagine your own voice in place.

I'm such a die hard RPG fan, which is why I pre-ordered this game. (And I rarely pre-order anything)

Personally I don't mind that the main character doesn't talk in conversations. What I hate is when he talks on the battlefield. (It just sounds annoying to me)

AMEN, JOE! Although I'm surprised you didn't mention the game's kinda terrible inventory system. Definitely the most frustrating thing on my first playthrough. (Though on the second, I knew to buy each and every backpack you ever come across, immediately and without reservation.)

And you should give the city elves a shot! I'm normally a dwarf guy myself, but the knife-ears' backstory and later consequences are brilliant.
