Must get wheel!!!
MUST GET GAME!!!In all seriousness though I am pretty interested in this game, I wasn't really into the Need for Speed games until most wanted came but this one looks like serious fun.
What the hell is going on with the no story mode fad in games now? first king of Fighters and now NFS Shift. This game would of had a great storyline, You've been challenged by a rival racer who is superior in the racing leagues and you must strengthen up your racing skills to beat him and while doing so you have to race against others who consider you a noob...OK that sucked but you get when I mean (I think) This should of had a story like the rest of the Need for Speed games. By the way that is a sweet ride Joe.

I've got the wheel, but not sure if I'll get the game.
Don't get me wrong, I like racing games, but that's just it: I like them. I don't love them, or hafta have them, I like them. I'm probably gonna rent this, especially if you gave it such a good rate, but the only racing game I own is... you guessed it... the original Need For Speed: Most Wanted. ;)
So, thanks for the info, A.J., I'll check it out.

Loved the review, it was very honest (that's the only way I can describe it). You do realize, though, that you never actually said the name of that wheel? How are we supposed to know which one to get? :P
Also, while the review was good and the video funny as always...really Joe? "Lie-berry?" That's how you pronounce it? *sigh*

wow is that the 99 VR4 or SL or GTO .....?
I'VE GOT THE 91 vr4 and its freaking sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.....!but suckS that EA didn't put this beauty in the game......(Y R U RACING A CIVIC WIH A 3000GT?)
and WTF happened to the supra, ITS NOT IN THE GAME!
and about the boring part of the game.... its seems that as nfs has been evolving in graphics its been losing things the were important, at least for me, like the replays in most wanted....there werent any.... it seems that if EA does something great they take of something that the gamers had liked in the prebious games... in nfs 2 they even had movies from the manufacters of each car....

I definitely felt that this was something that's worthwhile as a "Gran Turismo/Forza"-lite game where you've got the realism of the 2 games with the aggression and attitude of the NFS series. Definitely enjoyed Most Wanted, but when they did everything else after that, it was just...."Meh" for me.
When I did a checkout for the game, I was actually more of an aggressive drive than a precision one. It seemed like, at least for me, I HAD to be aggressive instead of precise, but I guess it's because of my driving style for the game.
Either way, gotta second the motion of your rating that it's something for the racers out there that are into all kinds instead of just "underground" all the time.

Nice one. But its not up to me, Judges?
....7.0....6.0.....5.0....8.0 Awwww sorry not going to cut it if you want on the podium!
1. You watched it all the way through. You were Entertained. I'm admittedly not a very funny guy. BUT LOOK OVER HERE! WAHTS THAT!? *Jiggles car eyes in front of your face* Weeeeeeee!
2. GTA isnt a detailed Racer.
3. Breaking the Law is Cool, but Expensive.
4. It smells like Dawn, because I do something called washing my clothes. Please look into it.

Joe, you could get yourself a 98-02 Trans Am WS6.
Stupid fast, world class handling, Sexy and fearsome, easy to fix and maintain. Oh and did I mention insurance that's not as expensive?
Though you are still a bastard with your 3000GT. I'd rather have the Stealth RT myself, (It's lighter) but looks wise the those two cars are out of this world.
And DEAD ON with the wheel comment. Playing even with the old GT Driving Force mark 1 in GT4 vs controller, gimme my wheel any day. I wish I had enough money right now to get a wheel for Forza 2 (yes I'll probably get Forza 3.. I'm done with Sony with their lazyness in GT)
I don't mind that Shift has no story, actually I found Most Wanted to be a joke of the Need for Speed series, and then Carbon was a turd ontop of a Turd. Meh gameplay with no sense of speed, a story that I wish hadn't been there at all, and alot of crappy and ugly cars. The last of the good NFS Imo was Underground (The first one not the second).
With High Stakes still being the best out of all of them. I'll give Shift a shot though thanks to this review.
MUST HAVE THIS GAME!!!....Wow...did the cops bust you?
