Be carful what you wish for. Due to a stipulation in California law, the govenator can only serve two terms. He's reached his limit, which means he may be avalible to act in the next terminator movie.

Listen, I could've told you this would happen. That's what you get when a dude named McG is put in charge of ANYTHING. His career literally went like this:

Directing music videos --> Directing the Charlie's Angel's movies --> Directing Terminator Salvation and probably the next one.

He skipped steps. HUGE ones.

McG was good for the action sequences.

But did you know it was written by the guys that wrote Catwoman? Maybe its not McG's fault but these assholes.

The problem with the Terminator franchise is you know what's going to happen eventually. Even if you didn't like Terminator 3 (and there are a lot of people out there who don't) you have to admit the very end of that movie was pretty damn shocking and cool. The war is inevitable. So what are you doing to do? Show again and again how there's no point in trying to avoid the war by sending people back in time? Sounds like a retard trying add 4 and 4 until it finally makes 10. It never will, stop trying! The war will come, deal with it! Deal with it in the future where it actually takes place. You can't come up with a good script that's not just a rehash of Terminator Salvation with more effects and bigger robots? Well maybe you should take your time until you can come up with something interesting where the outcome is actually not already written in stone.

See that would be really goofy. 1-3 set everything up to get to Salvation. Now they want to take a battle that belongs in the future and move it back in time. Why? That's Capcom style BS. Doing thing for the sake of doing them. It's like Making a CoD game; taking all the WW2 stuff and putting it in during WW1. I hope they wise up and just keep it going as it is.

No fucking way. Salvation was a terminator fans dream, in my opinion. I love FINALLY being able to see what all the fucking fuss about Connor is about. If T5 goes back to the fucking past again. I simply won't go see it. McG is being a fucking douche now.

I am so enraged at McG and his new Terminator proposal... he is killing the franchise and it was already dead to begin with when they released T3! It was so bad it was like a SciFi original movie but on the big screen! Salvation was alright but i lacked the intensity and sense of fear from the first two films. A pity, since I too, was hoping for something new and refreshing in part 4. You may enjoy the film, but it was far too short and there were many plotholes. I hope McG gets terminated by a mob of faithful fans. Only then will we let this mythos die in peace with what little dignity it has left.

I got to agree. No more time traveling and ignoring continuety by changing consept of the time traveling so that non-organic can also be send.

Time Travel in general needs to be put to rest. It only causes more questions and issues. If Skynet can time travel why not send one robot to their Future and then just find out how the machines eventually win, or if the humans win find out some decisive battles and plan to counter them. How can they master the time continuum but not take out the last few humans? Why not skip the "robots with guns" idea and release every deadly disease known to man on them? Makes me glad I have seen no more Terminator movies past 2, and also why I support the zombie apocalypse vs the robot apocalypse.

But if we take away Booster Gold's time travel, then he's just some guy...IN THE FUTURE!!! Kang the Conquerer from the Avengers would only be a "okay" villain. Also we would miss out on Superman meeting the Legion of Superheroes (which are my favorite)

I got to see Terminator Salvation this weekend, and it was alright in my opinion. The best parts were Kyle Reese and the final third act of that movie.

As for Terminator 5, the plot sounds really stupid to me. Since Terminator 2 first came out, I've always wanted to see more of the Future War. And other than Terminator: Dawn of Fate, there was no expansion to that war story.

I think T5 needs some better writers, if not a better director.
