 I am now in a game via the army and you can not use that excuse anymore when we are in an argument!

Just thought of an EA Questions:

1) Will we ever see a return to road rash or the mutant league series of games?

2) When are we going to have madden take a major overhaul and include 2 v 2 or 4 player + co-op?
• AngryJoeShow  - Your going to be happy Sir Coldone.

Not true, you see, your ideas might now be in a game, but until you actually have a character in a game, you will lose any argument against me young padawan.

Those questions seem more for EA in general, im visiting the Army of Two guys, but PAX will also be near by so I might be able to sneak in that.

Its funny about your last question, this isnt the first time Angry Joe has influenced EA. Long ago I made this very awful video for madden: http:// www.vimeo.com/1505491[/ url]

Because of that, Ian Cummings (who headed development of madden 10 this year) said that we would include 2v2 and 4 player co-op the exact things you wanted.
Your welcome! Angry Joe, working for gamers every where!

you suck at the internet

Wow, Joe, congratulations on such a fantastic success! I can only hope that the weapon not only looks like the designs make it out to be, but also functions in the ways that it was said to. You know you kick all kinds of ass when your weapon is a game-breaker!
• Juel92  - Hooray
avatar
Congrats :D
I wonder how it's gonna be playing with it. Ass kickingly awesome prolly. Fuck, I don't have the first one :(
• Thumper17
Ask them if they will cut that retarded five install copyright protection bullshit out.

I'd like to see more questions to the Army of Two Development team than EA itself.

I guess I could get some of your general questions answered at PAX if i go, but I ment for yall to ask questions specific to this game.

Now I could pwn some noobs with that ASS KICKER GUN??? I wonder how bad they'll modify it.... hope they recolor it as pink with it shooting out flowers and pixie dust..
• Clank Bot

Wohoo! Congrats to Joe and all the guys that voted (which i'm one of ^^)
My question for the EA interview =
Will there be another Army of Two after this one and are you planning to add our gun in it aswell? :P
I hope they do :)
• Xardas
Awesome Joe, will complete the whole game with that weapon
• noobynerd  - AO2
This weapon may make this game worth a pre-order!

Congrats, anyway.

Question: Will Army of 2 be offering DLC in the future, and if so, what is it's content and price?
• Juiceman
avatar
Congrats Joe. This makes me want to go buy Army of Two.

Are they going to bring back the running toward the light and tampon suppressed bleeding when your partner is dying that was cut from the first game?
• RebelTaxi

Will Angry Joe be the final boss?

• SpiderSlayr
It's too bad that I've played the original game before, but only at my friend's house on his PS3 (which I don't have). Oh well, I'll get the game so that I can use one of the most kick-ass guns in history.

As for questions, could you ask the developers if they decided to try and improve the gameplay due to complaints from the first game about some people having problems with the the enemy AI along with your partner's AI in the single-player campaign?

I tried to say that as formal as I could. Anyways, congrats Joe!
• Crapfreds

Congratulations Joe and army! I thought before I watched the video that you would use the "Joeinagameomg"- part in the video, I laughed so hard when I saw I was right :D
• KelvTwelve
avatar
Oh yeah, you know I'm so gonna rent the first of the games so I can just get that gun. That gun just made the game 10 times more worth buying towards me.

My question:
The idea to enhance gameplay by joining with the fans themselves was a great idea. What convinced them to do it anyways?
• Denta
Awesome! Congrats to Angry Joe and his army. I'd love to see that gun in the actual game, but I also hope that the Chainzuka also won.
The AS-KR1 plus the Chainzuka would be just completely AWESOME!
• AngryJoeShow
avatar
My personal opinion is that the chainzuka is dumb.

To answer your question nah, it didnt win because its not an original gun design for the contest. The other winner and the announcement is here:

what in the wide wide world of sports is the other photoshopped, abortion of a piece of crap, panzy paintball sniper rifle?

I guess I answered my own question but man that thing is awful.

Congrats Joe

Cool gun. After hearing this I'm glad I didn't trade in my copy of the 1st one.
• McBeaver
Sweet. Great success!

However, I was extremely pleased with EA thinking that they were simply taking an opportunity to receive input from the gaming community. Now that Joe revealed that the weapon is an unlockable and that we either need to rent or buy the original game, the veil has been lifted. This contest does indeed appear to be more of a marketing ploy than originally expected.

Nay saying out of the way, this is a huge step. How many times do gamers get their voices heard at all?! I would have to say that we should all buy/rent the original Army of Two simply to encourage this type of involvement and interaction between gamers and developers in many titles to come.

Anyways please ask EA:
1) Can we expect more of this type of interaction between the gaming community and developers?

if so...
2) What types of ideas from the gamers would EA utilize and benefit most from in the future?
• AngryJoeShow
avatar
I like your open thought process - this was my exactly step by step conclusions as well.

Propaganda! It's good for your soul!
• thehivemind33
Oh, hell yes! I am so getting the game now! :cheer: This calls for a celebratio- *falls asleep because it's 4:50 here* maybe tomorrow. :) I can't wait to use the weapon!

Free advertising for EA, free advertising for AngryJoeShow, and best of all, one kickass gun for mankind. Everybody wins!

I have a question for you to take with you, they say one of the mistakes from the first one that they are going to learn from was the tone, more specifically the "being a mercenary kicks ass! woo!" tone. The friend I play this game with is Arab and even though making fun of stereotypes while he get pissed at them is hilarious, are they going to treat war and mass killings with a little bit more gravity this time around?
• Paladin_A
avatar
Wow, I'm now sold on the Army of two game. I voted for this gun, and I'm glad to see that it made the final cut, in spite of the horribly glitchy voting system EA had in place.

I knew we could do it. Congratulations, Joe.
• Goomba
avatar
Most amazing thing ever. Although, it's still EA, so, I'm not entirely convinced that the "Slight Modifications" will be slight at all.

Though, here's hoping! :D
• AngryJoeShow
avatar
I'm going to do my best to force them to keep it as close to the original as possible. I'll even offer my services as a game designer (with no experience or skill) to animate what needs to be animated for our weapon.
• First Person Shane  - Truly, this is a great day for gamers.
Congratulations on this victory, Joe! I can't wait to wrap my hands around this sexy beast of a weapon. And it's cool that it's unlockable by an Army of Two save file, because I got Army of Two mainly because of this campaign. And I'm glad I did, I'm really enjoying it.

And I just had a cool thought: What if the AS-KR1 got the Lancer treatment and a replica was made? That would be awesome! :woohoo:
• Dezedor
Hmm, this might be an oppertunity, to raise an interesting question.
For years now we have seen editors, construction sets and all that stuff, supporting the players will to create/modify content.
EA also knows, at this point if not before, that there are plenty of huge gamer comminuties online, like this one.

Have EA ever considered letting one or more of these communities design a game, with the aid of a couple of proffesionals from their own staff, and then fund it.

Bonus for us:
+A nice game
+An oppertunity to co-work at a large scale

Bonus for EA
+Will greatly improve Reputation
+Easy marketable game
• SamPD  - Knowing EA,
avatar
I am afraid these so called "Modifications" will make the weapon suck. We all know about Punkbuster. Then again, perhaps EA has changed their ways to make it the most kick ass weapon in the universe. So much so that even Superman, the iron man of steel, will not stand to it. God bless all those who made this possible. Kick ass and happy gaming!
• Karash
avatar
@Dezedor, a fully open source game would be swell indeed, I mea there are several mods out there from fans, why not let them design the main game with professional support of course.

I like Joe going nuts in the end.

Does this mean like EA's gonna do anything with AJS/TGWTG?

awesome game but still brutal legend is going to better.

i think that because i love metal, giant axes and jack black. :woohoo:
