I really dont understand what people see on Phelous. He certainly have lot of fans since all the thumbs down to your message confirm. But I find his character so annoying and he does not have enough knowledge of horror film theory. He acts as if there was one big rule for everything and do not realise the subjective sets that can be used into different subgenres of horror.
As I see it he is a failure as a critic and what is worst... He is not funny.

This film was done in the '70s. The coloring is the same as People Under the Stairs.

Of course it is a Troma release! *grins* I mean there is nothing wrong with Troma... well nothing wrong [i]all[/i] the time that is. Just it is like a nice seal of quality when you see the Troma name. *quickly decides to throw a sheet over his collection of Troma DVDs* I mean who would collect such a thing right? :confused:

It's a movie from Norway but quite cult and funny for a zombie movie with zombie nazis killing people to get their stolen gold back.

I got curious and googled Mimi Ishikawa. Apparently she lives in San Fransisco and or was a grip in the 90's on films like "the Siege". Then I did an image search and forgot to put safesearch back on and found lots of Japanese porn. Ten minutes later I came back to finish watching this episode.

This is a Troma film? That explains... well, pretty much everything. Troma is pretty much synonymous with crap cinema, and I'm honestly surprised that it doesn't get mentioned a lot more on this show.
That being said, this is probably one of the best episodes I've seen. The riffing was dead-on, the obscure references were solid, and it flows very well.
