"I'm not sure what made you want to do a video like this".
The joke is that Jerrid, the guy who Brad used to do the "Brad and ____ " skits with, got fired from Team Snob and has been replaced by this guy Irving. So every show mentioned in this video featured a character who was either played by multiple actors (Like Dick from Bewitched) or who was infamously killed offscreen (Like Henry Blake from MASH who Jerrid supposedly boarded a plane with...).
It basically a subtle/tv savvy way of making the official announcement that Jerrid will no longer be in any of Brad's videos.

Also I agree 100% with the first comment. I love Bewitched but I really only care about the seasons with York. I wish he had been able to finish doing the show.
And although the movie is a piece of crap, wouldn't the obvious choice for Darrin have been Jim Carrey? He looks very much like York.

"Why did Jerrid get fired?"
Go to thecinemasnob.com and look up the Radiodrome episodes. Look up the 60th episode (forgot the name of that one). That episode will talk about a certain comment that was made as well. That comment can be found in the comments section of the "Geek Juice" episode of Radiodrome. Don't worry; I'm not screwing anyone over; Radiodrome is publicly displayed on the site, and Brad himself references the comment in the Geek Juice episode in Radiodrome 60.

Never saw any episode of Bewitched, as a kid growing up I was an I Dream Of Jeannie man. But I would love to see an ep. of the Brady Bunch Variety Hour again (I have dim memories of seeing it when I was a little kid. I think its defining characteristic (besides being a real-life variety show hosted by a fictional TV family in character) was a big pool built into the stage that people were regularly thrown into for "COMEDEY!")
Overall though, I'm sorry, but this ep. just leaves me kinda sad and missing Jerrid. I realize, things had apparently gotten to a point where Brad had no choice (in fact a few of the things I've read suggest Brad may have put up with him for too long), but you can't deny they worked well together onscreen. They played off of each other real well, and Jerrid was even starting to come into his own playing other characters, like the neo-Nazi in the 80's Dan Chrismas ep. and that hippie Jesus cult leader guy from some biker film or something.
This episode, once you got the point after the first five seconds, really wasn't much beyond a listing of old TV shows that had cast changes, then devolving into some bitching about the decline of basic cable.

03.01.2012 - 15:21 | BoredkojinWhy even bring it up in character? Very lame you could've just not even addressed it via a show. That seems small of you Brad, a official statement would've been a better way, instead you mock a supposed former friend of yours.

No. I like this show, I like writing it and directing it, so I'm going to continue with it. I'd do the same thing if Irving were to later leave the show, or if someone were to leave 80's Dan. Just because someone leaves doesn't mean I have to stop. Plus, it isn't mocking Jerrid. It's making light of the fact that there's a new cast member, and poking a little fun at shows that did that in the past.

There's a lot more to glean from the comments. From what I gather, Jerrid had been publicly saying mean things about the staff for a little while, and the last straw was some nasty things he said about Jillian, Brad's wife.
I'm glad some people finally put in where I can find out the full story, though I'm not sure I have the stomach to listen to it all.
Wait, nevermind. The last episode on the site as of now is number 58.

Definitely. I've listened to Radiodrome plenty of times before and it's usually brought up that Jerrid has a tendency to say rude/inconsiderate things about people, a lot, and what he said about Jillian was something so bad that even apologizing for it wouldn't make things better, although from what I heard, he didn't apologize. In the new RD episode Brad mentions it was the final straw to along line of fuck-ups he made in the past that Jerrid didn't seem to regret.
The actual post, I haven't read but people have given a "he said something to this effect" in the comment section of the Radiodrome "Geek Juice" episode. If you want to hear Brad's explanation of why he did what he did, I know someone posted a link to the newest Radiodrome episode on his websites comment section for this video. It's pretty much brought up in the first five-ten minutes of the show.

I agree with you Brad I use to love Nick-At-Night and TVLand until they started showing reruns of shows that were showing when I was a live. IO didn't mind when rerunning Married... with Children because that show actually started before I was born and ran for a good long while, but once they started showing That 70s Show, The Nanny, and George Lopez I bailed for the most part!
I hate reality shows too... I watch TV to escape reality when will people learn this!?
I say if you want a new roommate for these bits I'd pick Jake! No offence to Irving!

03.02.2012 - 01:17 | JobenI understand the concept that time marches on and people younger than me will view newer shows as well...older shows.
But damnit SOMEONE needs to show me my 1950's monster movies and classic Hitchcock. I'm looking at you AMC...

Great episode Brad, you definitely were on your mark with alot of good issues. TVLand is not the show for airing 1950s-1970s stuff as it used to be and at the same time you managed to find a funny way to work Jerrid out of the show by giving him the old "Harry Blake" send off.
At least he didn't get the "Cousin Oliver" or "Chuck Cunningham" treatment.

Now who will speak to me passages from the Good Book?
Sad to say, this episode reminds me of how much I miss early 90's Sci-Fi Channel, Nickelodeon's old shows like "You Can't Do That On Television" and "Salute Your Shorts," and even ZDTV/TechTV.
Remember when music channels played music? I want my MTV!

Apropos reference for Jerrid's exit. I look forward to more adventure with Irving!

03.04.2012 - 15:35 | DangerousLokiI never watched Bewitched.. but.. I laughed when I realeased that Dick was replaced by a bigger Dick.

I think he is ok for the first time round, but just remember not to replace his character. Think another one out.
Remember when Doctor Who wasn't a soap? The real show from the 60's to the late 80s? Yeah, it survived because every Doctor was different. (Well, apart from Davison. He was just empty!)
My point is, think up some character charm or floors or something unique about him. Don't just write him as a J**** or even worse... Just another Brad. Friction = Hilarity!
That other guy has issues. You're a great guy Bradley dear
What bugs me about Sargent is that, even if he was a decent straight man, he still had no warmth. He was all anger, and never did you feel that his Darrin and Samantha were actually in a relationship. Sure, York's Darrin was controlling, but Sargent's came across as almost abusive. York was a frustrated nice guy, but Sargent was a jerk.
I really wish York never had that back injury, or at least was able to get decent surgery to fix it rather than having to either act in severe pain or be so loopy from meds that he could barely remember lines.
