10.17.2012 - 17:11 | triumshockwaveGabunomi Melon Cream Soda, yup. There appear to be flavors of Gabunomi including Milk Coffee, Fruits Milk, and Fruits Squash. In Japan, "cream soda" usually means a melon soda with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it. If you've ever watched anime where teenagers hang around at a cafe or something, you may have seen it. I know they drank it in Sailor Moon, since I have a cel of Usagi sipping on one.
Sapporo, in addition to being a city in Hokkaido, is the name of a major Japanese beverage maker. In the US, they'd be mostly known for beer like Sapporo Black Label, but they actually make all manner of liquid refreshment.

Looking back at my life, I never believed that there actually existed a crystal clear cola. I thought such things were only legends created for gags in The Simpsons. Your series has taught me so much of these elusive "invisible beverages". Most important is the fact I should never try a clear cola, but also that I NEED to try a clear cola. My next vacation (most likely Europe)will include just that.
Also, many things made by Sapporo are not taste-bud friendly. I think Brad should go on a trip to Japan. Your guts will have many experiences (good and bad).

10.17.2012 - 18:28 | LarieSapporo is the drink factory. It's 'melon cream soda'! Melon soda is very popular in Japan, you can get it from most restaurants, supermarkets and vending machines! Don't microwave it. ;)

Brad, I used to work in the soda industry. Diet drinks that use artificial sweeteners are not really supposed to be drank after they expire, especially if they use aspartame. The sweetener breaks down after 90 days. That's probably why the soda taste so bad only after a year, I understand that you tried crystal pepsi and that was from the 90's. I am not sure what artificial sweetener they used back then, but it could have been different. Probably could have been the same artificial sweetener they used in Sweet and Low.

I really watch this show for the funny faces you guys pull, don't I..... Is that like "excess" or "extra small"?
You want a shot? Have Cemetery Gates. That's 2cl absinthe and 2cl mescal. They sometimes serve it with lemon and salt like tequila. Yeah, tequila's fine too if you can't find mescal. I had three of those one night and had to call my friend to come and get me after I got lost in their backyard. Couldn't find the door.
I actually went to fucking London to get Aether Cola from the Cyber Candy store at Camden and it was horrible! At least the can was cool.
I also got something blue called "mustache elixir" or something. Maybe you could try that on your show?

I'd translate the bottle for you, but a lot of people already have and explained better than me. Anyway, do you have anymore Japanese sodas? If not, I can get some for you. They're easier to find in California than Illinois, for some reason. As for XS, I guess the Swedes aren't as good in making sodas as they are with chocolates. Actually, I've noticed that European chocolates in general are better than ours. Probably because they're not as cheap about it.
