I enjoyed the first 3, but part 4 is utterly retarded.

Awesome review, was thinking about seeing this for Halloween, now I know not to. By the way, you should totally send Jake and Sarah to see Fun Size next week!

My son fell in love with the first three... I'm making him watch this review, lol, before he tries to drag me to this piece. Fun review, guys!
  • zepolmas  - re; creepy underage rape
As opposed to "age appropriate rape?"
    (I might've misspelled that.)
  • zepolmas  - question
    who's the new girl?
  • Sungetsu15  - Make it stop ...

These sequel-itis trends really needs to stop. It's killing me. Just like that other franchise that I also never saw (that made its loyal fan base believe that vampires are expression-less teenage boys that sparkle when the sun hits them).

Kind of annoying how nobody can make an actual review of any of these movies without inputting the fact that they are nothing but stupid, I think I've seen only a handful of reviewers take it for what it is and actually review it rather than just call it stupid repeatedly. And seeing as how this is the 4th entry in the series and people are still doing this while complaining about the repetitiveness in the films... Should look at their own complaints seeing as how their complaints are always the same and are also repetitive. Product placement also wasn't THAT bad for this film, I've seen worse but I did notice it.

I enjoyed the first two but I had issues with the third and I just saw this one this morning. Seriously how/why the fuck was Hunter up for adoption? I also left the movie wanting a Prius, Apple Products, Pepsi, Corona, and a new x-box. I didn't like that this movie did heck all to finish the story. Also how did no body in the neighborhood notice all those fucking people? Over all I was very disappointed.

The Paranormal Activity series is actually my favorite ongoing horror series right now. However, I am going to admit that this one has some serious flaws. For one, the pacing was terrible. Just... I don't even know. It's like they decided, okay, we have some ghostie shit let's just kill everyone off and call it a day, mmmkay? However, there is one thing I really liked about the film, and it was the possession plot. See, Hunter WASN'T the kid who was adopted by the family. Oh yeah, spoilers alert. Anyways, he wasn't. Hunter was the creepy kid. A very important point of the movie was the proving of "preternatural abilities" to the demon, which was unfortunately only mentioned in one scene. First, hunter was positioned in the family's house, so as to become close to their son. Next, he drew the symbols on him to prime him for possession. Next comes the preternatural ability: Hunter somehow becomes all ghosty like and possesses the other boy. His first attempt failed, when the demon kept telling the family's boy he was Hunter, or so he thought. It was actually talking to Hunter, the ghost boy behind him. Hunter doesn't succeed in the possesion until the bathtub scene. We don't see the original creepy kid after that. It is then proven to the demon that Hunter has power. Next he has to sacrifice a virgin, aka the main girl. This process is the central point of the movie, which is unfortunate because the movie does fuck-all to explain it. Also, where the fuck did all those witches come from? Were they all out for pizza until the last scene came or something? Overall, I agree this is the worst of the series, and while I really don't agree with you guys on a lot of points, I find others are completely justified.

The big problem with trying to expand the idea into a series is that you need to come up with increasingly silly explanations why people are obsessively filming themselves (and like you pointed out, taking the camera everywhere and never putting it down even in life-threatening situations where most people would either drop it to run or grab some sort of weapon). Seriously, does this demon prey solely on massive narcissists or something?

That said, the idea of a found-footage movie that uses a webshow like this could be amusing. How great a troll would it have been if there was a sudden jump scare at the end of the review?

My entire theater was making fun of this piece of dog shit while it was playing. I love NY

Mind you, when I saw this, there were only about 30 other people there. The screams for jump scares ended about 30 minutes into the movie, as everyone got bored.
My girl and I were just quietly cracking jokes about the movie with each other. But when it got to the part with the kid on the Big Wheel, riding aroun, and the chair suddenly slid out, I couldn't help myself and called out "red light". The laughter spread through the theatre, and got worse when the sound of the second chair moving comes up, and I called "red light" again.

When the movie finally ended with the horde of angry women, everyone had a good laugh at the movie in general.
