I'm glad you review Saturn games. I was one of the 12 people in the US that bought a Saturn and MAN IT WAS AWESOME! I bought it mostly for Street Fighter Alpha, which was the hot game at the time. I owned Die Hard Arcade, and remembered having to play that depth charge game to get like 99 continues.

Hopefully you'll do Astal. It was one of my favorite side-scrolling platformers and another under-rated game.

Ah, definitely a 200% improvement in production quality over the Powerslave review. Nice work, Ben!

And, again, the review is making me want to collect this game. I like the idea of a beat-em-up with a large variety of different moves and attacks (not to mention the ability to use just about anything as a weapon, ala Dead Rising).

Well thx for the comments I really tried to improve the production value on this one...andd I tried to speak a bit clearer but guys... I can't believe you when you say you wan't understand a word...ever seen a Shwarzenegger movie ? BTW I think that when a websites entertain you for free, and try to provide you more variety FOR FREE, then you cannot complain and act like you own the damn site....

this is just my opinion.. I worked very hard on this one and it took me away 2 nights of sleep, trying to take into account EVERY SINGLE comment I haad...even the bad ones...

First off, good job. This review was much better than the Powerslave one. However, you need to work on taking criticism.

Not everyone enjoys this site FOR FREE. Some, like myself and I'm sure many others, have donated to help keep this site up and running. While some comments are just mindless bitching for the most part we are just offering our opinions and critiques. From what Mike the admin has told us you're still relatively new to this video review stuff. I would think that the constructive criticism would be welcome to help you better the overall quality of your videos. Also, complaining that the video took away two nights of your sleep is a little childish. ThatGuy and his brother drove for two or three days to some random video game store in New Jersey to confront the AVGN. Why? Because they knew it would make for an awesome video for the fans. Did they complain about it? No.

Just my two cents.

At gasto - Not everyone is having a hard time understanding him. Incase you hadn't noticed, he was alot easier to understand in this episode, meaning that he's been listening to the critism he's been getting and trying to improve. I personally thought this was hilarious, and if you read the rest of his comments, you'll see plenty of other people who agree.

At sancho 12 - benzaie has taken all the critism he's received well and has spent a lot of time and effort improving. If noone will apreciate the improvement they should at least apreciate the effort.

Keep up the good work benzaie, i thought the video was great

Again, this site isn't free for everyone and seeing how his videos are hosted on Revver I'm guessing that there is at least some profit for him every time someone hits that play button. If he's getting paid for me watching his video then I believe I'm entitled to my opinions like "You're hard to understand" and "This video wasn't that funny." Granted, comments like "You suck" or "You fail at being funny" are just dumb and should be ignored.

Trust me, the increased effort and time spent on his reviews is obvious and appreciated. I look forward to seeing him progress in the review business and get better as time goes by.

Just my two cents.

I like both reviews, Indeed the powerslave review seemed a little crazy but I found it very entertaining.
The humor is good and frankly I think some people are rather slow if they cannot understand your english... but what do I know... I am also French lol... (from Quebec witch makes it worse)

There are other reviewers that are far harder to understand such as fast talking British and Australians.

The idea of reviewing underrated games is a good one and I hope to see many more reviews !!

Man all these people are hating. This board is like super omega anti-French. Like to the extreme! I kid, but can people get over his accent? It's the number one complaint, but he's not going to be able to undo so many years of natural speaking just to cater to one set audience. Afterall I believe he hosts these videos elsewhere too. I still have trouble understanding you from time to time (there was a comment about Shenmu I missed), but watching your videos enough I've picked up on what you're saying so it doesn't bother me.

Don't let those comments get to you because despite the odd ignorance that people have, this site has YouN00bs (that's a phrase right? If I not I just freaking made it one) who are going to complain. I find these videos absolutely excellent in more ways than one.

I love the promotion of old titles, and despite everything that occurs in the video I always end up wanting to try the title, although I own none of the consoles. Then he has the humor involved with the cut away editting that personally fits my humor. And of course there's the commitment to each video that you can see. It's not some half asses slap stick video, and that's why it's being hosted. This guy is funny in his own right that's different from ThatGuy. It's necessary since they're attempting to turn this site into a profitable business, thus they need altneratives to ThatGuy.

Why run a site with 10 ThatGuy clones that do the same thing? Who would care? I hope none of the comments here irk you benzaie because I honestly love these videos. Keep up the good work, and fuck your critics. Yes, fuck them. Right in the pooper.

I remember how much fun this game was. Indeed Fighting Force it was NOT. The only think that killed the Saturn version for me just a little was the load times between the cutscenes. No where near like the arcade machine. It brought the arcade experience screeching to a halt. It was a good thing though that you had the option to not have those screen shots play.

I hope you review a Capcom fighting game on the saturn one day. Those were EPIC!

Well, I'll be honest I think he might be growing on me a little bit. But so far, in my opinion, he's only gone from being horrible to perhpas slighly ok, which belive it or not is a hell of a step up from my initial opinion after watching his first video.

I'll see where he goes with this but perhaps the real problem here is not so much that he's bad, I mean just look around and you'll find much worse, but that TGWTG is just so damn good that the others always pale by comparason?

Played the game on the actual arcades back in the day. Loved it. Didn't know it was on the Saturn, but then again I didn't have a Saturn..

Maybe I'm just better at listening than most, but I understand him perfectly. Maybe it's not the clearest English but what do you expect?? It's hard to learn how to sound fluent in a different accent, so give Ben a break. There's no reason to be mean at all!

I think his videos are really funny. They make me laugh and I think that's all that matters. If you dislike them, you can either help him to get better by making CONSTRUCTIVE criticism or not say anything at all. There's no reason to be an ass about it.

It's really great to see Ben participating in this comment thread. I haven't seen ThatGuy in a lot of threads and Mike (admin) only typically posts as a moderator. Not to say I don't greatly enjoy ThatGuy videos, but it is particularly nice to know that Ben is reading each and every one of our comments. And to those naysayers of Ben, I ask you to respect that, if nothing else.

Ben: You can't please all of the people all of the time. Not everyone likes ThatGuy videos, or AVGN's, and their dislike could be for any reason. Ben, I think your best comments come from those who enjoy your videos or are on the fence. If you get conflicting comments from people who like and hate your videos, value the ones coming from people actually open to liking your work. The others you may never please no matter what you do. There are critics like that for anything worth a critique.

With that, I'll give my honest take on this contribution:

What Ben did right:
1) Double Dragon II music at the opening?! AWESOME.

2) Eliminating the French subtitles. Good consideration of the audience on that. You can always put them back for submission to any french websites.

3) A fantastic selection in a subject game. Plenty of positive comments in this thread about that. I continue to be impressed by the uniqueness of making a humorous review about a GOOD game.

4) Fantastic and hilarious "Almost Unaltered Memories" segment. I think that segment should be retained just as you have the "Laughing at a french person's accent" segment.

What Ben could work on:

1) How about English subtitles for the "Laughing at a French Person's Accent" segment? That might ensure that everyone gets the joke.

2) I'm still waiting to see a ThatGuy impersonation just like you did a AVGN impersonation in the Powerslave review. The AVGN impression was hilarious! More impressions would definitely be great, and make a connection for fans!

While I did enjoy the first one a little bit, I liked this one far more. Slowing down did help quite a bit.

My favorite part in the video is probably where you got hit by the roll of toilet paper. The scene with the stuffed animal falling down the stairs was humorous, too.

I am going to be honest, I don't know what you are saying about 99.3% of the time. I know there isn't much you can do about it, so I can't and won't hold it against you.

Yet, I feel out of the loop with your videos. You will get to a part that is supposed to be funny, but because I don't get the stuff before it, it just kinda flops for me.

At one point in the video, your facial expressions spoke more clearly to me as a viewer than some of the stuff you were actually saying.

With that said, you have made vast improvements from your last videos and I will continue to watch your content in hopes to one day 'get it'

The reason why this game seems different from the Die hard series is because this is NOT a Die Hard game at all. The actual title is Dynamite Deka. I guess the reason it was named "Die Hard Arcade" outside of Japan is because the setting is sorta like Die Hards [minus the plot and robots], and they thought they could make money off the name.

Another fine review!
This game was a lot of fun when it came out. Not quite so much now, but it had a lot of great gameplay elements to it that made it stand out. Sadly, now it's tough to find a beat 'em up of any kind outside the arcade.

I also loe the direct sequel : die hard arcade 2 on the sega dreamcast(very original title indeed), with even stupidier plots twists.
-the bad guy is half robot, a bit like frieza (freezer in english?) from dragon ball. And the president daughter he seeks is hidden in the same room, in a briefcase (a big one).
-the body guard of the bad guy is supposed to be disguised as your boss, the only problem is that you absolutely don't see him during the game. he doesn't even appear during any cutscene. I think he just says "go!go!go!" when you start the game.
-you get to meet the half parrot half lizard creatures from altered beast / golden axe... wasn't this game supposed to take place in the real world?
