That represents everything I think people don't remember about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's not family friendly it's like all of Ronald Dahl's creations. Dark, and scary and morbidly funny. I do think the Tim Burton version showed it best. In fact you should do a Nostalgia critic dedicated to both the old and new versions.

This version truly capture the unimaginable terror of the original. Sure, we blank out those scenes in our memories and remember all the cute songs about candy but think about it - Willy Wonka was one crazy mofo and being at his mercy would strike fear deep into the heart of any man, woman or child.
Another thing about this film - you never see those kids again! At least in the book and Tim Burton movie you saw them leave the factory, disfigured yet more or less intact and having learned a valuable lesson. In this one, they could all be dead by the end of the tour for all we know and Wonka clearly doesn't give a crap!

when charlie got everything he had nightmares of what had happened.he'd won't be a happy boy.trust me
he'd be living in a never ending nightmare.id rather be poor than to live in a haunted factory.
if i was charlie i'd would be in hell with people with worms in their mouthes, almost getting cut to pieces by fan blades, birds heads being decapitated, seeing others leave in horrible ways, ect.willy wonka isn't a nice man,i wonder if he wanted them to shit in their pants on the ferry boat.
i know i did at the age of 3 and i had nighmares up till the age of 9.
willy wonka and the chocolate factory will always be in my heart.i love the movie so much i'd rather watch this version than tim burton's charlie and the chocolate factory.
who agrees with me.
