...TMNT movie Rocks!...used to rock...man!, the turtles were so cool when I was a kid, cartoons, games, toys, they were great.

But not even this new movie was a decent come back, as a way to forget mistakes from the past, It was just not good enough.

you're SO right... you know, the thing that pissed me off more than anything were those two freaks instead of Rocksteady and Beabop... I wanted to see those two in the TMNT movies SO much...

P.S. the new CG TMNT also disappointed me to be honest. it's not BAD but it didn't meet my expectations. and I expected to see them fight all of those.. well... bad guys

Has anyone noticed the difference between this version and the original when it first came out on Youtube. Like for example the different clip about asking Mobsters to "punish turtles", it was originally a clip from the movie Good Fellas.

Also when the Nostalgia Critic brings up how stupid it was for the Ninja Turtles to be using toys, foodstuffs and other household goods as weapons in the second film, the original clip was Shredder saying "fools".

Wonder why it was changed?

When I was a little kid and I saw ninja turtles Three I almost cried because of how bad it was. I remember walking home and saying, "where Shredder?" I'm Glad to see that both you and the nerd share my pain on how bad that movie was.

Lol Bullshit! What kind of battle was that?! Awesome!! The first movie I enjoyed watching, the same as the second movie. But it pissed me right off on how the Shredder dies in the second movie! Really was bullshit!! You think they would've added in the fact that Super Shredder is SUPPOSE to have super STRENGTH!! And the third movie..........only thing to say is it was the biggest piece of shit to ever come across the Ninja Turtle world AND the movie world! BIG disappointment!

Great Review! I bought the 1st and 2nd movie last year to remember the good old days, of when I ran around yelling DAMN because the turtles did it, and the movies were still amazing!

Except of course as you said April being not good looking and in a jumpsuit, as well as the lack of Rocksteady and Bebop with anti climatic endings... but still good. OH I didn't even waste my time even thinking about number 3.

Anyone ever notice in the old tv shows how at some points the turtles would have the wrong color mask on or in some episodes the a turtle or other character would be played by another voice actor?

Its like... did they run out of the color purple so they decided to color Don's mask red hoping no one would notice? Did the voice actor call out sick or something so they picked some other random guy hoping we wouldn't notice? Ah. Good times.

Glad all three were reviewed! Very funny review once again!

I never noticed how bad Shredder's demise was in the second film! Don't get me started on the third one, which is horrible!

When the fourth one was released, I had some high hope it would be as good as the original, boy I was wrong! I just didn't get why they called it a sequel as there were monsters all over New York and very big portals which didn't occur in the other films. I wish live action returned and not CGI!

Liked what you brought up in the review, really enjoyed it!

Man, I remember when I was a kid I begged and cried for my parents to buy me a copy of Turtles 3(I had one and two) on VHS. When they finally bought it for me I actually thought the movie was awesome, but that might have just been the Turtles fan in me who thought everything they touched was gold. I bet if I watched the movie now that I'm 20 I'd think it'd suck monkey balls.

The first movie was the only good one because it was based off the original mid-80's comic and not that stupid cartoon (What's a worse plot device than Four Ninja turtles learning ninjitsu in the NY sewers? Inexplicably giving one of them a California surfer accent).

Funny review. Sadly, I didn't have a nostalgic connection to the TMNT movies, since I never saw them as a kid. I do remember that my parents tried to rent the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but somehow, the tapes got switched and I ended up with the Ducktales Movie instead.

Yes! I loved those movies!
Shamefully, I have to say I also liked (not loved) the third movie.
Though I skipped the Ancient Japan stuff and just watched the fighting scenes. I finally watched it all the way through and...well, I think you can guess. *shivers*

Yes, NC, good point. They are BeBop and Rocksteady. And don't let anyone tell you differant!
Also, fricking anti-climatic! Those SOBs actually made the piviotal fights at the end of the movies the most pathetic ones I've ever seen!
Still, despite this and the DAMN! every few minutes which I hardly noticed back then or now until you pointed it out to me, I reckon the first two movies are the best of the franchise in TMNT Movies. And of course, the first was better then the second, as most cases are.
And on that note I'm going to grab a slice of pizza and shout out "COWABUNGA!" with the turtles at the end of the first movie. Really...it's a classic.

The way I always saw it was...

Shredder takes the ooze and becomes Super Shredder. He's running on so much adrenaline, he starts destroying and throwing a sort of... rage if you will.
The ooze eventually takes effect on Super Shredder and inner organs begin to fail. His bladder explodes, his brain melts, and his heart fails. Thus, the reason how he died.

Kind of like steroids.

I agree with that last part. Sure, these movies are about four giant turtles who eat pizza and know ninjitsu, but isn't that what the comics and cartoon are about? If you compare these movies to the comics and cartoon, then you'd find this to be a great movie. I'd also like to point out that it's a great display of fighting coriography.
