Though, hey, it looks like a fun game if not unbelievably cheap. Though, I'm pretty sure that DKC had something similar to a 'real' final boss after the 'credits'.

Or maybe that was really just the end and the developers suck that way. That wouldn't shock me either.

That!!!! is fucked up...Sega, I love you to death but what the fuck??? you mean to tell me that you have to go through the entire game...all the hard obstacles and all of the hair pulling difficulty and the reward is A FUCKING HOURGLASS??? Why? what were they thinking? I was thinking of trying this game again after giving up years ago but there's no point since there's NO ENDING!!!
I gotta say, thanks for the great strategy, I bow to you for even beating this on frigging hard, now that is amazing, you amaze me, you beat Chakan...on hard!!! nice.

They didn't forget to put in the ending.They didn't put in the ending because they thought no one would be able to beat the game.It's like a big fuck you to everyone who work's so hard to get the end.

This game looked like it could have been awesome. The story seems alright, the character looks cool, it really sucks they had to make it so impossibly difficult! Congratulations on beating it though.

According to Wikipedia there was said to be a sequel in the works for the Dreamcast (back when the Dreamcast still existed.) but was cancelled and much of the graphics and artstyle was used for The Legacy of Kain Game Blood Omen 2. Here's the article about it.
