Wow it sucks working a 10-9 and not have access to email, especially since some important server emails were sent to me. The move *should* be done by Wednesday at the latest, but I'm hoping after tomorrow's day at work that I can have everything finished by late Tuesday. :/

Also I have a shitload of videos to add when this move gets complete, so expect to see a lot of 2 a day video updates going forward. (Videos to be added, 1 NC, 1 Sketch, 1 Nostalgia Chick, 1 MarzGurl, 1 (*Old* Goggles), a few Spoony, 1 Phelous, a few Press Starts, a few Linkaras, 1 Suede, A new trailer trash, most likely a new Transmission Awesome Podcast, most likely a new GYMDK, and a bunch of articles!

Also forums posts, private messaging, and new user registration is currently not working.

Wow, after a very long day at work, and an even longer week dealing with the server issues, I have a new issue to take care of.  Anyway without further adieu, I present to you the latest Status of the Site Update.

Server Down/Issues:

    Well we're growing at a huge clip again, which is a good thing, but with this non-stop growth something had to give. That something is the server that we are on.  We were down for over 5 hours on Wednesday, and couple that with the past 2 months of server down times during peek traffic time and you have a problem.  We will be moving the site to ThePlanet late Sunday, which may result in some downtime for you our loyal visitors.  Hopefully everything is back up and running quickly though.  The new server... well actually servers (2 web servers, 1 database server, and a load balancing switch) will make this site extremely reliable... finally!   It will end up costing triple what we are paying now, but in the long run it will all be worth it.  Basically, the site should not see any downtime (well unless I take it down for an update or two), after the move is complete and the site should also run, much much faster.  So Yay!

    In order to help offset some costs (most of our big checks won't be coming in until February), we may end up doing a live (with some pre-recorded new shows/segments) donation drive sometime in January.  I know what your thinking, wow they're hitting us up for money again..  We'll Yes and No.  If you can spare some extra money then yes please help us, if you can't well that's fine too.  The show could end up running a few hours, and will be free for all to see.  People will be able to call in live, and talk to Doug.  Ask ThatGuy Season 2 may begin during this show, maybe a Bum Review, heck maybe even a surprise or two.  We really have no idea if and when it will happen.  Just be on the look out, cause if it does happen, you will NOT want to miss this!

 

Talent Pickup:

I still haven't really had a chance to go through everything yet, so please be patient.  In the mean time post your work in the forums, or in the Blog area.  Recently Linkara was found through the forums!

The Latest Benzaie Video:

While I agree with the people who say it was a bit hard to understand (this is the only Ben video that I had anything close to a problem with), and I do agree that Ben did fan the flames a bit, I cannot stand for a certain user and his attacks on not only Ben, but some other site users.  As I have stated NUMEROUS times, the comments under a video are not for hate/flames/issues.  Those comments either go directly to the person via a PM, or they get posted on the forum.  The individual in question even went as far as emailing me (thinking I banned him from the forums)  below is the email I received from him.

A "troll" is someone whom intentionally tries to distrupt the flow of thread discussions,
i merely spoke from my heart, and you BAN me?!

Wow, threatening me with idle bullshit, really is going to get you far.  Also the fact that he commented in the thread that 'Doug should fire Benzaie.' gets me a bit annoyed.  Are you part of this company, do you have a say?  No, because you're nothing more than a troll, you made your account, and with the first 2 comments you attacked Ben, and then you went on to attack other site users. (I'm not going to put in details due to how pissed this guy has made me, it'll just turn out to be one long ass rant against this idiot).  The site will be better off without you, because you are now banned from everything! Sorry to all those who had to witness the above.

People DO NOT EMAIL Doug with any site issues/hiring and firing or whatever.  If you have a video question/suggestion/praise/criticism sure email Doug, but for anything site/business related email me.   I take care of the business end of the site (with the help of Mike Ellis, and Bhargav), along with everything else site related.  Most emails that are sent to Doug that contain what I stated above, end up going to me anyway. 

Site Updates:

Over the next few days I will be adding a new Sage, Spoony, Linkara, Phelous, Suede, and MarzGurl video, along with a bunch of new articles, so be on the lookout!
