This update will not only have the details of a couple of contests that we will be running in it, but also a lot of other site updates so sit back and take this in.

 

Revver:

-I am still looking into getting some of the issues solved.  A kind person in the comments area suggested that you enable pop-ups if the video player isn't showing at all.  Some other potential issues that could cause the player not to show include: older java, older flash, noscript or adblock turned on, or having javascript disabled.  So try updated your Flash and Java and see if that fixes the issue.  Or try the solution above.  If that doesn't work, rest assured that I am still working on figuring out the problem and getting you a solution.  (It seems only a very small percent of you are having problems though)
-Once again, we moved the videos to Revver in order to cut $1400 a month off our server costs.  Also since we get money from the videos there, we will now be able to give Doug/Rob a nice chunk of money a month.  This will allow them to spend some more time creating new videos, and other fun stuff.

New Feature: Chat Room!

The link to the chat room is under the User Menu, and also under the Who's Online area.  Check it out today! 
-Known Chat Room Issues:  The NoFloodBot is kicking people who type to much,  hopefully I'll have that fixed by Saturday, along with adding some new emoticons.

Criticism in Comments:

People if your going to criticize someone please do it in an intelligent way!  Don't leave post like You Suck or Die or whatever.  Point out your issues in a constructive way... please!  We all like comments; good or bad, but if it is a bad comment, please tell us why you have a problem with someone or something, so we can try and fix it.   Also don't downvote people who provide that good type of constructive criticism.   Curiosity Inc comes to mind, as a lot of his posts contain good constructive criticism.  Downvote the people who say the you suck type of stuff though!

Contest #2:

Do you all see that empty space below the articles logo on the front page?  Well a new image and section will be there soon!  What is this section?  Well it's going to be an area that will showcase the best of the blogs. (BOB for short, yeah I got rid of the, the).  This new area will showcase the best videos and articles in the blogs.  The Videos must be your own and be in a review/show manner. 

How do I get into the BOB?   Simple, we the staff will pick who deserves to be in there, and at the end of each month the Best Article Writer and the Best Video Guy or Girl (voted on by you the users), will become a full fledged staff member on this site and have their content featured like Film Brain/Suede and Benzie.  Simple huh?  So get to writing or filming, and make sure your work is of high quality!

Random Notes:

-I plan on updating the Fan Section with new images, along with adding a video area shortly. 
-The Fan Upload Area will have a software update soon, hopefully this will fix some problems that we were having. (Only registered users can see The Fan Upload Area)

-Once again we would like to thank all of you are dear viewers.  Our growth rate has been nothing short of amazing,  Since the beginning of May our Monthly Unique and Total Visitors has doubled each and every month!  Our Blog area has become a great source of entertainment, and the Fan Work is just amazing!  Once again, you guys and girls are our source of motivation.  Thanks to all of you once again!

 

The next update will have some info about the recently formed and brand spanking new..  well new company to be named in the next update!
